Just do a "right click save target as". It works for me.

DAMN someone beat my record. i've done it in 15 minutes. but this was back when i was in grade school, probably still in elementary. anyways, i've gotta see this. tell me when the link starts working

1st EDIT:
ok cool, right-click and "save target as" works

2nd EDIT:
oh my god this fucker's insane

- flying through stages. Mario = Tenshinhan
- the crazy shit he does to keep a P power
- wacky wrench dodging. Mario = Neo

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
i saw a few flaws (which are understandable and can definitely be forgiven) but the biggest one was missing the third Star. part of me was jealous and was hoping he'd screw up, but for once, i told that part to shut up. i really, really wanted to see this guy succeed without a single flaw. i am simply astonished with his skill and knowledge of the game

End of Spoiler

by the way, was i the only one cringing when he went through that airship stage? bad, bad memories

Amazing. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
... I really wonder how many hours this player clocked with the game...?

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
... and he didn't even get hit or fall off once, with several close calls...
... and he was able to manage to get 1UP bounces even with Fire Mario...
... pixel-perfect, absolutely.

End of Spoiler

Crap, he made Mario look like the Neo for the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario basically handed the midboss turtle's ass to it in around, what, 3 seconds? o_O He was fireballing so close, you'd think he was punching the midboss silly.

The airship stage gave me my first wrinkle.

My thoughts exactly.

Oh and when you're going for a time attack, the LAST thing you'd wanna do is get all three of a card at the end of a stage. That eats up quite a bit of time, right there.

Hoho, once again the MMCafe has absolutely destroyed a site's bandwidth!
Maybe someone should make a torrent of this file?

I forgot that fireballing bosses could kill them until I saw this video. But do hammers kill them faster?
Then again, I don't think there is a consistently fast way to obtain a hammer suit so early in the game.

Hammer would kill Boom Boom in one hit because the hammer would hit multiple times due to its piercing effect (unlike fireballs, hammers don't dissipate after hitting a target so the thing would cut through the poor guy scoring a bajillion hits along the way. Makes for a fun sound effect). I never tested it on a koopa kid, though. Was hard to make it through an entire ship with the suit :P

That and it's usually soooooooo late into the game that you finally get the suit...

I thought that too. With emulators, you can freeze and unfreeze games at any point. So you can essentially replay the same level as many times as you want.

I'd like to believe that he did it all in one try. But there is always the possiblity that it's just a cut and paste job.

But irregardless, I am very sure that he completed the levels himself, flawlessly like he did. You can't fake that- it would be incredibly hard to fake that.

In conclussion.

He is the One.

Had he not been using warp whistles, though, he would've exceeded the 15 minute mark and would've spontaneously combusted. So he took shortcuts to prevent from exploding.

I just watched the video again -- it's not cut-and-paste. If you'll notice, the scores at the end of one stage match the scores at the beginning of the next stage. And, something like that would be incredibly hard to program -- you might as well just practice the routines.

Yes, I believe he is the One.

no question about it, the guy definitely has moves. but i'm starting to question the video itself. i'll let the Indiana Jones "not being squished by the moving screen" pass. i'll even let all the Neo "insanely-close wrench-dodging" pass. but there is one part of the movie that i find unsettling. we've talked about it and none of us can really explain it

the guy touches the side of a cannonball, yet he bounces away, unscathed, as if he had landed on top of it. has anyone else noticed this?

sure, maybe he got lucky and survived by a single pixel. i'll allow that. but i'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. i think it was on the final tank stage, right before Bowser's castle

Woman: Like Stonehenge, this site will forever be a mystery. Who was this man? And how did he manage to complete Super Mario 3 in 11 minutes?
Man 1: He must have been much smarter than his sister Lisa - about whom we know nothing.
Man 2: Say, let's bring him back to life by
using technology!

"The one yo-yos"

Man 1: What's normal to him amazes us.
Man 2: He will be our new god!

the guy touches the side of a cannonball, yet he bounces away, unscathed, as if he had landed on top of it. has anyone else noticed this?

sure, maybe he got lucky and survived by a single pixel. i'll allow that. but i'm just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. i think it was on the final tank stage, right before Bowser's castle

The one where he bounced off a cannonball and nearly went off screen, and got touched by a cannonball on his tummy, and the cannonball died?

Hmm... now that you mention it...

Take a look at 9:32...Hmmmm.

Thanks for the Link Chupiler.

@#$! That was insane. I mean. How can the dumb game even be playable at that speed. Ugh. Got a headache from watching it.

I guess with puzzle games, the only way to really up the challenge is to increase the speed.

There was a time in my life when I would hear the sound effects from Gameboy Tetris when I wasn't playing the game. Argh.

NO MORE PUZZLE GAMES

While we're in a super play discution...
Anyone has that link to the guy who plays through Hyper Classic 4 (Pop'n music) and finishes it in perfect? Now that was astonishing (or any performance play of DDR).

Yeah, he probably survived by a single pixel. I remember that SMB3 was very strange that way, probably to encourage the use of the bouncing trick among mundane players like us that don't have the MAD SKILLZ (Yo!) of The One and his Divine Predecessors. I remember pulling off weird crap like that, but it usually just killed me because I expected to fall backward and instead went up into the air... and then down into a pit.

Yes!!! Thanks Chupi! The one I have is bigger, but I think it's the same...
You get really weird stuffs when you enter "super play" in WinMX (well, in katakana).
Lately, I found 1 credit-schmups, Ikaruga, G-Darius, but also a collection of 100% and A-kyu in Shin Samusupi or in Jojo, some things from gamewave like "finish DMC in 0:46:46", "Bio Hazard Veronica in 1:58:08" or "get Hakaishin Shiva in Devil summoner Soulhackers with ony 3 types of demons", "finish Bio Hazard 2 with the Tofu" or the stupid "Finish Bio Hazard 2 without walking" and "finish Symphony of the night with Richter in 0:07:19".
I'm trying to download a intriguing movie called "Romancing Saga 2 no damage clear", anyone has an idea of what kind of exploit they used for it?

I remember a friend of mine had "resident evil cleared only with knife". Maybe I should do a "legend of zelda cleared without sword" one; but there is already a FAQ for it ¬_¬

I'm downloading the Tetris one; I'm itching to see.... Even thought I completely suck at puzzle game (not in count Kunio no Oden, where I managed to play at that freaking lightspeed... Right before fainting).

Neo Mario is Ben Ladin's pseudonym. He's been playing this game to death in his grotto.

It's not me, it's the cat. Remember, cats are evil.
And with enough glue, I'm sure the postiches will remain perfectly. Be carefull when he EDITkisses you though.

I wouldn't call what you and I have in mind a "concept", properly speaking LOL! But mustache-postiching oneself is a fascinating concept though!

I have a hairy concept on the tongue. I don't know how it got there. Really, I don't know.

Oh, maybe that.
