Where exactly is the Pacific Northwest? Is it just NW US? Or is it only in Canada?

It includes Washington, Oregon, and sometimes Idaho. I suppose each area in the general location have their own definition though. Living in Oregon, I rarely see it used to imply Canada or Alaska are part of the conversation.

Really? From most uses I've run into the Southwest part of BC does tend to get lumped into the Pacific Northwest region, especially when it comes to climate...
