Professor did you have any idea of what it could be??? it Have started today, yesterday the site was fine and today it's Hell hard for me to be on it. Could it be related to your nes image uploader??
If you're using IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > Security (tab) > Custom Level and then disabling everything under ActiveX, as well as Active Scripting under the Scripting header, and then poke around on the board for awhile. When I have trouble loading pages, it's usually because of obnoxious scripts and advertising formats like the ones that GameSpy uses. Those settings SHOULD turn both scripts and Macromedia Flash off (I'm not using IE, so I'm not positive), which should give you a more pristine version of the BBS. Be sure to switch those settings back if you like them, though... I don't, but everybody's different.
And on that note, why the Hell does anyone need a banner ad that's in FLASH, anyway? Just to cackle like a cheap '60s comic book supervillain every time a dialup user fails to load the page?
