That cowl is ridiculous, not to mention the rest of the horrible getup. Somebody get Michelle Pfeiffer back here, with the costume from Batman Returns. This stuff looks absolutely hilarious, but it's not looking so good for a serious movie.

I told you guys it would suck! Do an Internet Search for the Batman Dead End Movie where he fights Joker, Aliens and Predator if you want to see a good Batman Movie! This Movie was made to show the WB how to make Batman Movies but they obviously have not learned anything. Hey, I love Halle, but she ain't no Catwoman. Are they still mimicking the 60s TV show? The second Catwoman has to be African American (Technically if you count the 60s Movie she was the third) because it's written in the Batman Media Bible.

Well, it's hard to say it'd suck before seeing anything... hell, it's hard to say the whole movie will suck from seeing just this, but even if the movie's really compelling... I can't take this thing seriously. It's just ridiculous.

Anyway, yeah, I want Sandy Collorra to be given a job making a full-length Batman movie, because Dead End was spiffy. Imagine what the guy could do with a Hollywood budget and the rights to work with those characters.

But as good as his Batman was, you know what? They need to find a guy who looks like the animated Bruce Wayne, and sounds like Kevin Conroy. Because Kevin Conroy has forever spoiled us, I think... nobody else is going to be Batman, in my mind, than the original-style animated Batman.

Or they could stick to animated movies, too. I'd like that. But I wish they'd bring back the old animated series style. I don't like the Batman/Superman style. Batman Beyond was good... hell, Return of the Joker was an amazing movie. But I think the old-style designs were a lot better than the stuff they're doing now, with Superman, Justice League, etc.

I hate to say that I am not pleased. I hope that WB doesn't continue with these idiotic looking character designs. We don't need another movie looking like Batman & Robin. I am starting to fear the coming of the new Batman and Superman movies.

Halle Berry = good. (Sorry, Radish... she's overrated and certainly not "God's gift to men", but she's still a beautiful woman)

The Hellblazer comics themselves tend to vary quite a bit depending on who is working on them but I'm sure the movie will still figure out how to go off in bizzare new directions. I should look up some more info on that movie but I have yet to get past that whole Keanu/Constantine thing.

I realize I'm a very angry person, so rather then rant like a loon I'm going to make a few short bullets of what I was going to say:

-Did they avoid a black leather bodysuit because it would too much like Storm? Because I thought full leather body suits were in for superheroes (only Spidey and the Hulk seem to eschew them)

-Is this suppost to be 'sexy' or 'campy'? Because it comes off as poor costume designing.

-Was there copyright issues involved with using the original movie catsuit design?

-Does the movie have a shoe-string budget? Because she looks like that chick from the awful "black scropion" or whatever show.

-When Elektra's spin-off is made, will her costume get a similar redesign to look nothing like DD movie OR Comic Elektra?

-I was looking forward to the next Batman, with a "non-star" actor and hope that Marvel's movies would influnce change I thought it might be fun... I've changed my mind

-There's a new Batman animated DVD coming next (this?) month... looks pretty keen I think I'll watch that instead of any live action DC movies.

-The Flash show will probably not be too awful, not as bad as Birds of Prey anyway... I don't like Smallville so I'll probably avoid it anyway... but I'm still hoping TV Flash and Smallville Clark meet for a "recreating those comics were Supes and the Flash race around the world only we do it in street clothes!" that should be silly enough to watch...

There are 3 such right now... each has about 4 episodes I believe. They're called:
-The Legend Begins
-Out of the Shadows
-Tales of the Dark Knight (which ironically doesn't contain the superb "Tales of the Dark Knight" episode)

Those make up the first 12 episodes of the series (from the "Adventures of Batman and Robin" era) Obviously more are coming and Columbia DVD club has one disc containing 6 episodes, I assume the next one catching up to the wide release disc is coming soon.
