Don't know if it was posted before, but since I don't see it, it's here (at IGN):

http://ps2.ign.com/articles/451/451768p1.html

Don't worry, it's non-Insider. Though for some reason, the one I downloaded cut off half-way through, though I've been having modem trouble lately so that may be why.

I agree. I'm definetely in the "Episode 2 style looks better than Episode 1 style" camp. Only problem I see is that the way they run seems really inhuman and robotic.

Also I caught a glimpse of a robot that looked an awful lot like Elly's from Xenogears. I know there's no official link as of now, but I personally believe that Xenosaga and Xenogears are going to end up being strongly connected.

Uhm... could that be because they're part of the same series??? >:|

I mean, yeah XS is going to differ somewhat from the events that transpired in XG, but c'mon... it's not like they're going to rewrite the entire thing (or are they?).

Also, how long is that trailer? My connection speed barely gets past 22 kbs these days.. shouold I bother?

They're being made by the same crew, but Xenogears was developed for Square and Xenosaga is being developed for Namco, and it seems that Square owns the copyrights to XG and Namco owns the copyrights to XS. Therefore, they cannot be part of the same series, regardless of how much their creators would like them to be. The closest they can get to each other is a very strong "wink wink, nudge nudge" in a later installment of Xenosaga and I think there's little doubt that we will end up seeing that. We won't, however, actually see one segue directly into the other, like Deus or the original Elly, Fei, or Miang showing up in Xenosaga.

Then again, the developers have never made it truly clear who owns the copyrights and how much leeway Square-Enix and Namco are willing to give each other, so anything could happen. If the developers can't pull some sort of weird copyright trick out of their hats, then maybe Square-Enix and Namco could set up a deal sort of like the Boktai cameo in Megaman Battle Network 4 or Dante's appearance in Shin Megami Tensei 3.
