On PS2 : compilation of Rockman 1-8 + the two arcade games (but no Rockman Forte?)
The music will be remixed (like the 1-6 on PS1 ?).
At least a good Rockman game this year...

HOLY CRAP!

1) This game better be released in North America and Europe --
1.5) -- and Megaman 8 better have an option for Japanese w/ English subtitles, or redo the English voices (both chances slim...)

Otherwise, the fact that, if this is true, it's even being made -- sweet and l33t...

Wow! I never owned an NES so I missed out on a lot of classic Mega/Rockman so I'd have to get this should Capcom release it over here.

I have a haunting suspicion this'll be more like Sonic Mega Collection (95%-working emulation of the older original Roms) instead of the Super Mario All-Stars (complete graphics/sound remake) I hope for.

I hope they'll at least use the Japan-only PSOne remakes instead of the NES versions...

Actually, I read somewhere that the PSOne remakes are REALLY emulations of the original NES versions. However, they were also somehow enhanced. I think this was proven when the game's files on the CD were extracted then run under a NES emulator, which indeed confirmed their suspicions.

Anyway, owning all Megaman games on one CD is a cool prospect. I just hope that if this is true, the version of Megaman 8 should be based on the Saturn version, because it has a better Tenguman theme.

Then again, when this is confirmed by Capcom, I'll believe it.

This is fantastic news if it's true (the original games are the only ones I like...), but I'd much rather have a 2D Rockman 9. <sigh> Still, I'll take what I can get.

I think you're right. At least, this doesn't seem to scream "better graphics" to me. Forget I said anything then.

Now that I think about it, it was sort of foolish to think Capcom would put that kind of time into a non-original Megaman game...

The PS1 game had a bonus : Roll talked to you during the stages to say hyper important things like "Who is this mysterious guy in red?" or "This guy is made of wood, and his name is Woodman! If you had a weapon that is bad to wood, you could surely beat him easily!" or even "Watch out! It's a monster!"

I don't know if they will reuse this, but if they do, bye bye US version...

According to Gamers.com they said Feburary 2004. It amkes me wonder though, will they hire Dr. "Elmer Fudd" Light and girly 5 year old Megaman to do the voices again (especially with MM8).

Gamers.com also said the sound will have remixed tracks for the PS2 and cube port, but I'm guessing they'll be remixes from the PSX remakes (never really heard them beofre) and probablly just keep the music as is for the two arcade games (not that they NEED to be tuned up as they sound good already)

I'm assuming they would. Incidentally, the PSX remixed tracks started out with the arcade games. I heard Napalm Man's theme in the arcade game and in the Megaman 5 remix it was the exact same track. So it's not like it's going to be such a big deal to them.

Although I think the first three games didn't come with a remixed soundtrack.

When's the JP release of this, anyway? No one seems to have mentioned it.

And I hope the Saturn version of Rockman 8 is what gets put in, too, just because of the 2 hidden bosses. ^^;

In 2004, no more details.
