I can't wait to play that game. I wonder what innovations they're going to put into it. But I must admit I would have preferred to have it on NGC , with a GBA spin off and a connection between the 2. That could have been great!

The only problem I had with Front Mission 3 was that it was hard to suspend disbelief because your mech would be smashed to bits and then at the end of the mission it would immediately be back in working order while all the enemy's (who had massive funds and manpower) would still be destroyed.

This looks cool and I can't wait. Nothing was more fun than making the ultimate customization.

My complaints about FM3 were not having enough units in the field at once (limiting ways to approach a mission), and that you had to super-specialize your units if you wanted to get platinums. I really prefer the first two gameplay wise.

Great to see a sequel, thanks for the link!

I loved FM3 a lot. But the game had like almost 200 missions. And I can't believe I actually wasted my time visiting all those websites in the game. Anyway FM4 sounds awesome thx Iggy!

damn... Sorry for the link, I forgot 2ch links tend to die really fast...
There are really few details on the game, but I'm definitely looking forward for it. 2 reasons : the heroin is french and the hero is... Hmmm...appetizing.
The new hero of the remake of the first FM (we can see it on the right of the pic) really interests me. I really wonder wether it will be an uninteresting side story or something really related to the main story and giving new details about the wherabout of the characters.

Anyways, he will spend 95% of the game in his stupid robot, so it wouldn't really matter if he looked like Jean Pierre of Army of Lovers.

Talking about Nona, protruding chins, and you, did you see the rejected art of Clark in 2001 by Nona?

I hate Nona's early work (that is to say, his or her 2K1 art). Of course I noticed Clark's chin in 2K1, but I didn't make a fuss about it as all other charas had more or less had their share of that "treatment". I never noticed Jean - Army of Lovers - Pierre's chin, however. I might have if they had made a longer career, though. But the mere fact you should refer to him gives me a good insight into your meandering psyche.
I must admit that Nona's work on SVC is much much better and have no more complaints about him/her. BTW, I read in another post that you don't fancy KOF EX2 artwork. Why is it so? I find it quite refreshing on the contrary.

Now about FM, does anyone know if there is going to be a new GBA FM game? I'd love to play this game against a friend anywhere I want. Was there a 2P mode in the WondersSwan version?

They did a few things until 2001 (I think that's the point where I should be ashamed of myself, and speak about how I love good music. Yes, I think that's what I should do. Maybe next time) I wasn't making reference to Jean Pierre's chin, but to... let's say, the character as a whole. Anyways, my favourite singer of the group always was La Camilla, who traumatised my then young and innocent self with her huge, huge... eyes. And the fact you got the reference says much about yourself too.

Hmmm... I don't really know, I just have the feeling it's a fanboy trying to imitate some of the official artists of SNK and Capcom. It was really a surprise to learn it was Hiroaki who did this, and the poster in Arcadia beeing drawn in the same style finally convinced me. I prefer a LOT his work in KOF 2000 or some more anime-ish illust, like the Mature/Vice cover of Arcadia last winter. Well, it might just be that I prefer anime - style art, my all time favourite beeing Edayan, who diseappeared from any recent Capcom game, and it's a real shame.

"New" like "not beeing an adaptation of the first one"? Not yet, they work on the remake and the 4, and think about the opportunity to make an online game with the series. I think they'll see if these 2 games sell well before going anywhere else. Since the series is far from having a new episode every year, we may have to wait plenty of time before anything besides these 2 games.
A little arrow on the side of the scan makes me wonder if the new scenario in the remake will have any connection with the 4... That would be really great, even though I never really managed to remember anything from the scenario of any FM game.
And I thought the WS version was cancelled along with FF3 and other remakes?

You know, I feel the same way. FM has a very cool modern story... but I can't really recall much about the scenarios. Just random names of organizations and manufacturers.

I'll surely pick up the remake and do my best to re-follow the story. It's practically a sure thing that there'll be a lead in to 4... if they know what they're doing. I hope they do something to tone down the mega-armor hyper-supply mobile missile wagon though... it made things just a bit too easy/repetitive.

Given the robots size, it would have been anything but cautious.
But if they had done "Front Mission Shota SM", I know at least one person on this board who would have bought it.
(thinks about the robot with his machine gun, "oshiokishiteokanaito...")
(laughs stupidly in front of his computer)

Something both of us don't really care about, I think...
It's the male version of the lolicon.
In other words, things with little boys in sexual intercourse with other boys, adults, or pencils.

On a serious note, Iggy, do you know any good Japanese-English online dictionary? The one I use is Jim Breen's WWWJDIC but I can't find all I want (like that sweet sounding "oshiokishiteyarô" for example). Thank you.

No, I already have my own paper solid dictionnary, so I don't use online ones...
"oshioki" is something amongst the lines of "punition"(cf Sailormoon's famous "tsukinikawatte, oshiokiyo!"). Shite is "suru", and "yarô" is a gramatical termination to say "my testicles are bigger than a lemon, and you are going to feel it soon". Wich is stupid, since it's originaly a japanese word.
