"2nd "best of" CD from JAM Project 9/3/03" , posted Mon 18 Aug 13:32post reply

I know we've got a couple JAM Project fans here (Rid Herschel, Pollyanna), so I thought I'd throw this up:

JAM Project's 2nd "best of" CD goes on sale in Japan on 9/3/03. Originally given the working title of "JAM Project BEST II," it appears that the final title will be "JAM Project BEST Collection Vol. 2 FREEDOM." Here're the details:

JAM Project / JAM Project BEST Collection Vol. 2 FREEDOM
LACA-5200
9/3/2003
3000 yen

01. SKILL ("Super Robot Taisen Alpha 2nd" Opening Theme (PS2 game))
02. Nageki no Rosario ("Choujuushin Gravion" Opening Theme (anime TV series))
03. Little Wing ("Scrapped Princess" Opening Theme (anime TV series))
04. FREEDOM
05. Gasshin! God Gravion ("Choujuushin Gravion" Combination Incidental Theme (anime TV series))
06. GO! GO! Rescue ("Shutsugeki! Machine Robo Rescue" Opening Theme (anime TV series))
07. In the Chaos ("Galaxy Angel" final episode Ending Theme (anime TV series))
08. GET UP CRUSH FIGHTER! ("Gekitou! Crush Gear TURBO Kaizabaan no chousen!" Incidental Theme (theatrical anime film))
09. DEPARTURE ("Super Robot Taisen IMPACT" Ending Theme (PS2 game))
10. Alright now! ~Movie Re-mix ver.~ ("Gekitou! Crush Gear TURBO Kaizabaan no chousen!" Ending Theme (theatrical anime film))*
11. March of Rescue Hero ("Shutsugeki! Machine Robo Rescue" Ending Theme (anime TV series))
12. Kaze no EAGLE ("Gekitou! Crush Gear TURBO" Incidental Theme (anime TV series))
13. GO! ("Super Robot Taisen IMPACT" Opening Theme (PS2 game))
14. FOREVER & EVER ("Super Robot Taisen Alpha 2nd" Ending Theme (PS2 game))
15. DAYS ~Bokura no mirai~

* "Alright now!" was originally used as an Incidental Theme in the "Gekitou! Crush Gear TURBO" anime TV series. This is the "Movie Re-mix ver." used in the theatrical anime film based on the TV series.

Tracks 04 and 15 ("FREEDOM" and "DAYS ~Bokura no mirai~") are two brand new songs, produced for this album. Supposedly, the first pressing will have some sort of special packaging as a bonus, but I've yet to find any details on this.

Thanks for the news!
Gah, you're bringing me closer to financial ruin :)
Although 3000 yen isn't too bad.
I missed their 1st "best of" album...

I wonder what upcoming anime will they sing songs for? I'm guessing Gravion season 2.

In what way is "Go Go Rescue" "best"? That's like the worst song ever.
Oh well, just about everything else rocks and it's got both the awesome SuperRobotWars costumes.

They're especially cool because of the involvement of Mizuki Ichirou, the Voice of God when it comes to 1970s robot themes.

As Rid pointed out, JAM Project will be doing the opening theme (and probably more) for Choujuushin Gravion Zwei -- the title of the new OP theme is "Kurenai no kiba" ["Crimson Fang(s)"].

The first "best of" album is great, tho' a little dangerous when combined with me and freeway driving. :) Here's the info on that CD:

JAM Project's "best" albums serve more as convenient collections of their CD-Singles, rather than a cataloging of their "best" material. 90% of their anime/game themes are included on the 2 "best" CDs, so not much is left out. Their original, non-anime/game songs are available on the album "JAM FIRST PROCESS" (which went on sale just a few weeks after the first "best" album).

Stuff missing from the "best" albums:
It's Emotion ("eX-Driver Clip" Incidental Theme (theatrical anime film))
Danger Zone Movie Clip Version ("eX-Driver Clip" Special Ver (theatrical anime film))
Alright Now ("Gekitou! Crush Gear Turbo" Incidental Theme (anime TV series))
CRUSH GEAR FIGHT! ("Gekitou! Crush Gear Turbo" Opening Special Ver (anime TV series))
The Gate of the Hell ("Mazinkaiser Shitou! Ankoku Daishougun" Opening Theme (OVA))
Senshi yo nemure... ("Mazinkaiser Shitou! Ankoku Daishougun" Ending Theme (OVA))
Majin Kenzan!! ("Mazinkaiser Shitou! Ankoku Daishougun" Incidental Theme (OVA))

BTW, Holiday -- if you're interested in taking that step toward financial ruin, I run an online import DVD/CD shop called Hoteiya Las Vegas (www.hoteiyalv.com). If you're interested in picking up any JAM Project CDs, just drop me a line at orders@hoteiyalv.com.
