I've heard almost nothing about the new Shin Megami Tensei or the new Arc the Lad. Is Initial D Ver 2 (arcades) the sequel the Initial D Special Stage (PS2)?
Also do you need a boot disk or something to play imports on Saturn? Some interesting PS2 imports I'm currently looking forward to checking out: Naruto, Gundam Seed, Berserk.

For the Saturn there is a cart that goes into the Memory card slot. I know there is like a 4 in 1 one thing that acts as a Memory card, Converter, RAM cart(for VS games), and then it serves one more purpose that I can remember(toast?). Special Stage, I heard, is basically a home port of the arcade games. It has all the tracks from Ver1 and 2 and has voice acting. I will ask my bro about it later he played it the other day as well as the Naruto gamecube game which he like.

Unless there are any other games coming out for the DC soon, I am am not getting any import games. A few years ago I was import crazy 90% of my DC games are from Japan as well as half my Saturn and PSX games.

They are making another Berserk game? Badass, I love the DC one. I wish I got the JPN one since I heard it came with a Behelit.

BTW, I know this might sound like a silly question but does the case conversion thing allow you to play import PSX games on the PS2 as well? My PSX is on its last legs.

Yay! I'm getting the Naruto for GCN soon. The new Arc the Lad is pretty good if you are wondering.

Import games? It's all about the DC's Border Down on September 25:BDDay ^_^

Looking forward to the English release of Disgaea for the PS2 as well. Playing the import version makes my head explode.

I'm not too sure about playing imports on Saturns, sorry. I own a Japanese Saturn so everything's ok for me :)
My friend uses a Saturn emulator to play some games which her Saturn rejects, but it's a lot of trouble to get it to work properly.

Yay for GC Naruto! I played it at Otakon and I really want a copy. It's a very fun, simple fighter, and if you enjoy the series I'm sure it'd be a blast, even with its small roster of characters.

I grabbed One Piece for GC while I was at Otakon, and I love that too. It's not the best game I've ever played, but I'm a huge fan of the series and I'm digging the hell out of it. It has a lot of varied, fun minigames... I hope it gets a US release so I can read the damn pre-fight and post-fight text, heheh.

Dude, what kind of game is the One Piece one for GCN? I need to look into getting that.

One Piece on GC is pretty neat, I suppose...it's SORT OF like Powerstone. You have a two man team, grab a treasure chest, then carry it to your "base" and have to hold it there while a ship comes and gets it. Of course, there's another team who is doing the same. You have a normal attack button to do a usual 3 hit (or so) combo with, a special attack button and then a super you can do once a match.
It looks nice and plays well, and there are lots of minigames, too (vs battle, racing, soccer, etc). The only downside is that there's a great cast of characters, but the requirements for unlocking them are ABSURD.

Yeah, happening on the right cards to unlock who I want = ARGH! Why couldn't Ace be freely playable from the beginning other than in the story mode?

LOL, GekigangerV...nice. Thx for the Saturn tip! I better start looking for that cart & Initial D. Here's a link to the new Berserk PS2: www.the-magicbox.com/game052703g.htm

I've seen a One Piece game for PS2 around: http://www.gamekult.com/tout/jeux/fiches/J000055301.html

As for case conversion, you mean the mod chip for PS2? I think the PS2 mod lets you play PSX imports... I don't own a PS2 yet but I'm almost positive...

Hungrywolf, thx I'll keep Arc the Lad in mind. Nice website btw! I love Wheel of Time series- currently on book 4.

Polly, are you famous Polly from ON? I go by Kim Fanatic there. It's great to see other ON members here including Zepy! =D

He||SinG, I couldn't find any info on Rah Xephon PS2... Help?

Heres the link to the Rahxephon game
Rahxephon PS2

The Naruto for the Gamecube is a pretty good game with a neat battle system but sadly the replayability is very very little unless you can get friends to VS with. I've only spent one day playing it and got all the secret and unlockables. Sigh, if only there's more character.

Yeah... my friends and I love fighters, so when we get something new, we play the hell out of it. Naruto is very simple but fun... I'd like to buy it, but I'm afraid it won't keep me busy for long. The character unlocking in One Piece will, however... I've been playing this game a LOT, and I've just only unlocked Tashigi... at least there's a lot of replay value.

I'm intrigued by Sega's Atom/Astro Boy game, it looks very cool.

I don't own a GC, but Tales of Symphonia seems to be a very nice upcoming game, get it before Namco of America butchers it. And HoiHoi-san looks so simple that it'll be fun, hopefully.

And yes, with the adequate cart you can play any japanese Saturn game on a US system. God, I want a Saturn just to play Princess Crown!

I'm not super-leet like everyone else, so all I'm looking forward to at the moment is SvC Chaos [it'll be the only way I'll be able to play it, knowing the arcades here] and DDREx [no, I really don't have that DDR disorder mentioned on Insert Credit. Really I don't... >_>;;;].

Now that you mention Usopp... any hints on beating scenario mode with him and Chopper? Zoro and Ace are beating my ass so hard that it's not even funny... in fact, it's very not-funny. The only reason hard mode is hard is because these two suck really, really badly! Ugh. Looks like I'm close to unlocking Alvida as it is, but I only have one card for Buggy... looks like I'll never see him.

Yea, I've invested a lot of time learning those two since they are both my favs in OP :D

The key (if you are playing by yourself) to winning with them is by switching between them constantly, so that one person can carry the box (preferably Usopp), and one person defends (preferably Chopper).

It's kinda easier with another person helping you though.

Also, if you get the chest before the opponent does, just get a little space between you and them, and then just throw it. Don't bother to run, both Chopper and Usopp suck at carrying the chests.

If you are lucky enough to get the chest to your side, then just switch to Usopp, and do the move were he throws the needle-thingies all over the chest. That way, whoever you are against will ALWAYS step on the needles. This will give you enough time to hit them out of the chest area, or hit them with a super.

That..should be it. Their story-mode is hard, but it's not exactly impossible to beat.
Hope that helps.
