Well I went for the day and got greeted with a nice surprise. They had a SvC on a projection screen which was huge! It was also nice being able to play it for free Well, after a 35 dollar one day admission. It was also nice to in a way to see a line of about 20-30 guys waiting to play. Then again I'm sure the con had 10,000+ there. At any rate, I got three rounds Shiki for someone new, Ryu to see how he played, and Earthquake. Silly enough I did best with Earthquke almost scoring a victory. My losses came to 60+ Terry bogard game winning streak so would should I expect. The only real thing I will say since the game has been analyzed to death now is that there was a guy who was really good with down up motions. I mean with Vega/Mask he was constantly getting off the throw super. I think he was the guy who generously provided the game for Otakon, but I am left to believe that maybe the charge motions arent so bad after all.

Yeah,I had some online pals who went to it,too.

One of them said they couldn't wait in line to play it. That the line was huge.

Man,I guess I'll never ever see this game in this part of the country until it comes on the home versions.

I was really glad to see the game there, it was my first time getting my hands on it, and I was really excited. I like how it plays a lot, though I wish I could have played against someone more on my level, not the 30+ wins Kasumi or the 90+ wins Terry... eep.

What day were you there? I wish I knew who to look for. I met Rugal by chance, though he said he hadn't seen anyone else from the Cafe either. All in all, it was a fun weekend, but now I want to play more of this game more than ever, heheh.

Yeah I know what you mean Grave about being able to play someone you had a better chance at. I had to adjust to the neo geo punch kick punch kick layout on someone who most likely was owning on KOF games for a long time. At any rate, I was there for most of Saturday. I was thinking there was going to be guys there from this board but I wasn't quite sure how I would find you guys. I should have asked everyone around SvC if they were posters at the cafe. You met with Rugal he mention the possibilty of showing up. Ha, for all you know I was waiting in line next to you and you did not even know it. So, you will come the gathering next weekend. I am pretty certain I will be there. I will definatelty know by Wednesday. I can meet both you an Rugal there. Sorry I miised you guys.

Ha, it's pretty possible that you were nearby... I was there a lot on Saturday. Everybody in line seemed friendly, and I mentioned the BBS to a few people, but I didn't seem to find anyone else. I have brown hair, a short beard and was wearing a light blue Modest Mouse t-shirt if that helps, ha. I sucked it up pretty hard with Ken on several occasions.

Anyway, with any luck, yes, I will be making it to the gathering... Though, there's a good chance that it's not going to happen. With a lot of luck, I could even possibly sucker a friend into driving... excellent.

I suppose it's possible one of us saw you in line, and we didn't interact. I used Hugo several times, and Geese; I was the guy who connected with Gigas Breaker, if you saw that. He seems to be perfectly fine to me, but they had the awful "bean" style sticks there, which I'm not used to... the guy who was doing well with Balrog(Spanish Ninja) was the machine's owner, Neojedi. A lot of the neo-geo.com members I met were annoyed he had brought the beans, but hey, better than the CD pads, eh?

Hope you can make it. I'll be bringing a lot of non-fighters too, so there will be a lot of variety to what will be available.

Yea, pretty decent setup there. I was too hyperactive to wait on line to [probably] get my ass kicked, though.

Some guy had a 20+ winning streak with Demitri, but it was getting boring watching him throw out the same specials over and over...

The bastard didn't even do a Midnight Pleasure. Damn him.

I did have one conversation with a guy who used Hugo and told me that the the real good Balrog/Vega player was the owner and called NeoJedi. If that happened to be you by chance we has the conversation about me using Earthquake.

Little, but do you know where the Greenbelt Mall is? They might... same with a bowling alley not too far from where I live, they're re-doing the arcade and I've been pressuring them to get it; they said they'd consider it, at least (as if that means anything).

Anyway, Adon... funny, I sat next to a person who was considering using Earthquake; I believe Neojedi was playing at the time, quite possibly with Balrog. ;D I thought I accidentally selected Tabasa that time, though... or was that one of the other times?
