I tried out SvC recently and had a couple of questions about some of the moves.
Geese's uppercut: I never figured anything all that useful with Geese's Hishou Nichirin Zan in KoF96 and I'm still uncertain what to do with it in SvC. Is there some special property about it that makes it more useful than using one of his other moves or did SNK figure that since everyone and their grandma has an uppercut in SvC Geese might as well too?
Hugo's Parry: How useful is this? I managed to get it off once or twice but never managed to capitalize on it. Can it be done multiple times like regular parries? How fast does Hugo recover from doing the parry?

You can combo it in to things like "power dunk". It actually knocks the opponent in to the air on the rise up, and he slashes them back down... It works just the same in SNK vs. Capcom.

I didn't know Hugo had a parry at all.. what is it? It might come in handy... Or are you just talking about the guard step cancel? It feels so good to connect with Gigas Breaker in S vs. C. ;D

The parry is apparently somewhat useful but not as useful as it was in SF3. There's a whole thread on gamefaqs which explains it pretty well.

Hmm, I'm still not sure if the move is better, worse, or just something different to do when compared to comboing into his Reppuu Ken. I'll have to screw around with the move a bit more.

Hugo's parry is f + AC or d + BD. I read up a bit more on the parry and Ammadeau's right, early reports say that the parry move seems to be not nearly as effective in SvC. Recovery time and he can take chip damage during the parry? Ugh. Crushing characters with Hugo continues to be jolly fun but it looks like it's still going to be tricky business getting in on people. Oh well, now that Chun-Li has a command throw I have at least two characters that I regularly use that get in and grapple in SvC so it's not all bad.
