Based on a 1999 yon ko ma by Azuma Kiyohiko-sensei, the comedy series Azumanga Daioh was serialized in Dengeki Daioh. Last year, it became a 130 5-minute episode series (or 26 episodes altogether if you're lazy to do the math). There was also a movie that showed along with others including Slayers Premium the year before last year.
Azumanga is a bunch of high school girls. There's Chiyo-chan, the smart 10 year old, Ayumu, the Osaka student who would later on be nicknamed "Osaka", the polar opposite duo of the energetic Tomo and the serious Yomi, Sakaki, the tall quiet girl who actually likes cute things, especially cats, Kagura, the athlete, and finally, a duo that doesn't get much attention, Kaorin and Chihiro. Throw in a bunch of wacky teachers and you have an insane series.
The game that was mentioned is Azu Battle Chase Hecho, one of the many doujin games. You don't race with karts, but with cats. It's like the Mario Karts games for the most part. In the future, I will make a review for this game. I saved the whole game in a disc, but one, I don't think it runs on Windows '95 (yeah, I actually tried this on my old computer) two, the file is a rar file, and three, I can't find the disc right now.
(Oh darn. I was beat to giving a description of the series. =P)
