Anyone else playing this game? Very very cool, and it probably has one of the best stories I have seen on an RPG.

Waiting for it to come out on PC.
Quick question... how linear is the main story? Are there multiple endings for both light and dark sides?

Theres 3 endings, one for both light and dark sides and an extra one involving a second controller (according to stuff in game faqs.)
The game gives you the option to start in whatever planet you want after Dantooine, and quite a few things change depending on how you react to some conversations or events.

The game's really, really fun so far! I don't have a lot of time to play it, though... I wish I had more. It's the first RPG in a long time that I've liked. Maybe I'll play a few hours tonight...

Surprisingly good game, especially considering I am NOT a big Star Wars fan and was only interested in swinging a two bladed lightsaber ala Darth Maul. But the story is very good & engaging.
I've been playing a little bit as Light side, while a friend has been cruising thru the game and giggling all the while playing dark side. He loves it, and is addicted.
Definitely worth checking out.

I have a question. I've read that you can customize your characters appearance - just how far you can take this? Can you pick from different faces, hairstyles, skin colors etc? Or is it just playing 'dress-up' with your default character?
I was just wondering because all the screen shots I've seen of this game had the same super lame looking character (dude who looks like a 1970 business man). There were various versions of Johnny Business (light side/dark side I presume) but they all looked crappy. I know this sort of this isn't important but after years of playing Square and Atlus RPG's I think I'd find it hard to stomach 99 hours + of looking at some butt ugly lead character....

You have about a dozen or so faces to chose from and your class has a default outfit, which you can change with the many different kinds of armor and robes and such out there. It's a good level of customization.
I'm 30 hours in and just stopped for some reason, even though I'm about 3 hours away from the end of the game. KOTOR has a few minor problems (like the water planet being the most boring place ever) but overall it's a great game and a must have for anyone with an xbox. HK-47 alone is worth the price of admission. Imagine 3CPO was a evil assasin protocol droid with a dark sense of humor.
Focus on melee weapons. Ranged weapons are crap once you get dual lightsabers. Might character scores critical hits most of the time and can slice virutally everyone in seconds.

That's the one thing that even made me think twice about the game, that and the fact that strength and not dex is tied to your lightsaber skill.
Still, I'll probably pick it up at some point.

Well.. the PC version is coming out soon anyway =)
Anyone have some particularly wicked force powers? Whenever I play the game, I'm planning on being a GOOD scoundral with a short lightsaber and lots of hiding/evasion powers. I wanna be a sneaky thief/mind game character. Is that possible?

My friend made a stealth/mind-persuade scoundrel character on his first run. You will probably have a lot of fun hussling people around with persuade/force persuade. Just make sure to have strong characters in your party like Canderous or one of the Jedis you get later.
Maxed out force push is fun. Look at them fly!

November is soon?
Your problem is mind powers, like force persuade, tend to result in dark side points. My character is good, but she's gotten some dark side points for that, even in situations where it didn't make any sense to get dark side points for.
You also can't hide during combat, but you can backstab at the very beginning using stealth gear. The main problem with stealth gear is it suddenly shuts off when you trigger a cut-scene. This just plain sucks.
You're usually going to have several blokes to fight with you so you can focus on non-combat skills in theory, except there are some key unavoidable battles which you will have to fight alone... though lots of grenades can even those odds. It's easier to just be a melee monster though.
