Yeah the not to well know 4th game in the Power Instinct series... made by the same guys who did Rage of the Dragons. I've been playing it today... it's better than ROTD since it doesn't have those insane broken juggle combos and it's kind of funny picking up the referee and chucking him at your opponent. The Renge Murata (Last Exile artist) is just icing on the cake... too bad it will likely never have a console port.

Quite a hilarious game. And i agree its better den ROTD. You dont really get to see a lounge/bar with a couple singing retro Japanese songs on a stage as a background stage theme in VS games everytime and there r other really hilarious background music too.. kinda adds to the comical factor to this not very serious but entertaining fighting game.

Really? It didn't recognize the romset, it's not set for NeoRage but Kawaks or Nebula instead... =( oh well

I'm using Kawaks, but since the rom breaks the offical 2 years until you dump code in the emulation community, it's not officially supported by any emulators. You'll need a loader for Kawaks or Nebula to bypass that, a custom mame driver, or use the NeorageX romset that has a hacked p1.rom. I'm a little dissappointed in the game endings... I was looking forward to some more nice Murata art, but the endings look like something out of a NeoGeo Pocket game... but they art still pretty funny.

The release of the roms might actually help sales of the game, because a lot of people decided not to purchase it not knowing if it was any good.

After playing it a couple hours, I'm really liking it. The gameplay is far more in-depth without nutty broken combos, the stages look nice (I think its totally awesome how the actions of the people in the backround often sync perfectly with the music). Something else that I haven't seen anyone mention is that you can do a ATB Shenmue style battle in 2 player mode, if you both press start at the same time. The stage with the Japanese Alanis Morisette is positively hilarious too.

Anyone know if there's a complete movelist somewhere out there? There's not one on Gamefaqs or Neo-Geo.com that I could find as of yet.

I dunno if somebody else has played with Keith, but the sprite is very very different from the portrait.

That's her big weakness though. Jump over her, make her miss with it, then pummel her. Do a CD attack for maximum satisfaction

I agree with you, but I think that's almost impossible to jump over the big guy except when you're very close to her.
It's a pleasure to kick her butt when she's cornered (^_^)

IF you want to have a training mode, just set the game to console mode in the settings of your emulator. There's also a movelist on the Matrimelee message board at Gamefaqs, some of the super attacks have very hard motions... especially Anny's level 2 super.

There's an easy pattern for Sissy with fireball characters. Just through a slow fireball which will make her roll, immediately jump after the fireball and as she's doing that abubo in the box move you'll land right behind her ready to combo.
