I'm slowly catching up with animejunkies fansubs and just watched episode 29...

anyway, I saw the soundtrack (I think it was soundtrack 1) at my local anime store and was wondering if anyone knew what songs were on it. all the OP and closing songs have been excellent, and that song that rakusu sings is really nice too.

this show is too good!

I'm up to episode 37 and trying to get 38. I really like how the story is going. Even though it follows the formula of the first Gundam series, I still say it's great as a series of it's own. Way better than Turn A Gundam (so slow and boring I thought) and more mind blowing than Gundam Wing with the character and mecha design and the action.

I wish we would see more of Lau La Kuruze. He doesn't seem to be that much of a field soldier/officer. You only see him unmasked twice and don't really see his face. Plus, even though there are like 13 episodes to go, I wonder who he really is. I personally think he could possibly be Kagari's sibling (ala Sayla and Char/Relena and Zechs).

My favorite characters are a tie between Issac, the Duel pilot, and Andrew Bartfield. I was surprised that Chinese pop star Vivian Hsu actually was the seiyuu of Andy's girlfriend, Ayna, who also is one of the singers in the second opening theme. She was also in the Accidental Spy. She played the ill girl. As you can tell, she is one of my favorite singers/actresses/seiyuus.

Nikkoru/Nichole was never a favorite of mine but I really liked her Blitz Gundam. It was one of my personal top favorites along with Kira's new Freedom Gundam. I can't wait to see Asuran's Justice Gundam in action as well. It seems that even though Deakka is caught, according to the officail Gundam SEED site, we will see him converting with the Archangel crew.

I'm dying to see this series, but I'm going to wait for the HK sets to be fully released. They're doing seperate volumes -_-; Even though the set would look so bad ass to have all the volumes, it would be cheaper to wait for a gatefold.
By the way, someone showed me a picture form the series of some guy exploding. What's up with that? I never recalled any Gundam series being that sick.

I just watched episode 38. It was really good. Mu Laa Fraga is pretty much a lot like Sleggar Rou from the Gundam First series mixed with Fokker (was that the name of the "ladies man" in the original Macross?). He did pretty well piloting the new Strike.

They introduced the new Gundams and pilots in 38, these guys need to work as a team.

Looks like Asuran may be joining with the Archangel crew soon. I was hoping for one final battle between them in the end of the series. I wonder what will happen with Issac now.

I think 40 should be airing in Japan tonight. I wonder what will happen then. Gundam SEED now seems to be heading somewhat in a Z Gundam direction to some extent. I wonder how the Archangel crew will handle both ZAFT and the Earth Federation at once?

I want to know who this unknown sibling of Kira is later on. Some speculate it's Kagari, Frey, or maybe Asulan. I personally think Lau La Kuruze has to have a sibling connected to Kira if they are following the basic Gundam First formula with Char and Sayla. The new Gundams the Federation have are cool. Gotta love their version to the distortion fields. I hope Issac gets an upgrade with his Gundam too. Duel almost got destroyed twice. Since he's still hell bent on destroying Kira for what he did to his face, I still think he'll remain with ZAFT. I also wonder if they will pull a Macross Do You Remember Love to end the series with Lacus Clyne sings a song to end the war.

but you did notice that issac was pretty disgusted by the actions of ZAFT soldiers right? not only that, but kira spared his life and told him to get out before cyclops went off. I think somehow seeing both asuran and deakka fighting for orb will convince issac to switch sides.

my guess is kuruuze is secretly involved with earth, and chairman zara will soon be assassinated (cementing asuran's role on the archangel). a friend of mine even thinks that azrael IS kuruuze sans the mask. but we'll have to see about that...

I guess Issac could join soon since he respects Asulan so much. But I don't think he'll get over his scar that Kira gave him, nor could Kira forgive Issac for killing those civilians on the shuttle.

Otherwise, I see a movie or OAV coming in the future since this series is huge over in Japan right now obviously. But I can't wait to get the models of Freedom and Justice. Is the PS2 game out yet by any chance? I badly would love to try it out since I'm totally in love with this series.

Yeah, it's not so hard to understand.
About the fansub, AJ's may be there between Monday and Wednesday...

Anyone know the name of the new Gundams? I know from an article in the recent Newtype magazine that the Feddie pilot with green hair is named Oruga (maybe Olga) and his Gundam's name is Calamity. I still badly gotta see the episode called "Asuran."

I like how they name their pilots in Gundam SEED. They just have a nice ring to it and they avoid using the term "Gundam" a lot which is kind of strange. I can't wait to see a sequal movie or the series turned into a trilogy like Gundam First.

I think they're regular humans. before they go into battle they have to take a hit of that mystery drink. my guess is its some kind of stimulative / performance enhancing deal that puts regulars on par with coordinators.

Well, we can't really confirm right now if it has anything to do with what happened with Kuruze. Maybe those 3 pilots are coordinators and they are under Feddie mind control or something and Kuruze has a condition like Gineus (sp?) from 08th Ms Team or something. Any other speculation on this sibling that Kira has?

if you check the official SEED webpage, you'll notice they changed kagari's age to 16 to match kira's age. at least I think they changed her age. a friend of mine told me it used to be 15 until just recently...

you can see buster's arm getting blown off (I think), and deakka looking hurt. you also ensign noiman taking that sharp evasive turn in the archangel... or something anyway. I wonder if thus stuff will be in episode 40?

The Deakka's-hurt scene was squeezed into the exhausted people scene, and I think I saw the evasive turn a few episodes ago... The one where the Archangel's taking heavy damage and they're starting to tilt. I'm not sure about the blown arm, though.

dun dun DUNNN... kira and cagalli are siblings, but I had that figured out already. who's the blonde guy in the new end credits? frey's dad? frey is a coordinator? she's going to join ZAFT somehow, but I haven't quite figured out why. I know kuruuze has her dad's voice, but other than that, I'm pretty lost. any theories? somehow, I still think kuruuze and la fraga are related, but I can't figure out why. it seems asuran is on the archangel, but for how long? something is going to push him to the other side to oppose kira (or maybe KIRA turns, that'd be a twist...). my guess is patrick zala and / or lacus is killed. killing lacus would be the best way to split them apart, I think.

I just saw episode 40. It was one of my favorite episodes. At least those 3 Feddie pilots were learning some team work and I was starting to like them until they screwed up again.

Hmmmmm... I wonder how Cagali ended up being adopted by Aube's leader's daughter? This is pretty weird. And I wonder if Kira will be able to face his parents again someway or another. I honestly don't see Athulan (Asuran) betraying Kira anymore. I don't think they'll kill someone like Lacus. That's like killing Lynn Min Mei. I can see Athulan's father getting killed but won't cause him to betray Kira after seeing him in episode 40.
