Hello there.
Anybody here played Breath of Fire 3? Can you tell me if it is better/worse/equal than BoF 4?

The reason is that I played BoF 4, and I think it's an OK game. I liked previous BoFs, but never played the third installment so I wonder if it is closer to SNES BoFs or BoF 4.

I'm in the mood of playing a Playstation game, and I have to choose between pursuing BoF 3 in the "black market" or buy a Yu-Gi-Oh! game that seems to be the only thing in stores now. Thanks.

Personally, I like BoFIII just a bit more than BoFIV. I simply love the characters!

I have never gotten to finish BoF3, but I've always hoped that one day I will own it or emulate it and will finally finish it. It has great, fun characters, nice little twists, and a fun battle system. My only real complaint is that some of the minigames are really lame. Some of them, such as fishing, are a lot of fun, but others, like the rope tugging contest, are really, really lame, and if you're not good at them, they will really bother you.

Thankfully, even though the game has a lot of minigames, the game is still 90% normal RPG and 10% minigames, if even that. And that normal RPG part is a great game. It beats all.

BoF 3 es súper buen juego; el BoF 4 arreglo algunos problemas con algunas mécanicas del juego que eran un poco lentas; por eso tal vez te de lata el hacer ciertas tareas que el juegio pide, pero igual es excelente; y sí, el juego es cercano a los de SNES, inclusive toma al BoF 1 como base.

Lo único lamentable es que el BoF 3 japones tiene varios cinema display para todos los personajes mientras que el americano no poseé ninguno; sólo la intro y el final.

IMO Bof 3 is a really good game, maybe a lttle better than bof 4.

BoF3 is NOT closer to the SNES BoFs. And IMHO it is worse than BoF4 (although my favorite is still BoF2). BoF4 had everything that BoF3 had, and slightly improved it. Play it if you're curious but don't expect to be blown away.

That's exactly mt opinion.
Also note that I own a BoF 3 copy (from the black market) so, if you are in much need buy the Yugi Oh game and mail me your home adress (fisical adress) and I could try to mail you a copy of the game.

Definitely closer to BOFIV than the SNES BOFs. Seeing how as BOFIII and BOFIV are two of my favorite RPGs, I'd have to agree with a previous statement that BOFIV took everything BOFIII had and tried to improve on it. Any nitpicks or gripes you may have had with BOFIII were probably resolved in BOFIV. Also, Rei, Teepo, and Momo make cameos in BOFIV.

Gameplay-wise, I thought both were decent. Storywise, I think BOF 3's story was more complete.

En todo caso, debo esperar hasta este fin de semana para ver si mi "proveedor" se consiguio una copia o no.
¿Como esta la cosa en Valpo? Aca es cada vez mas dificil encontrar juegos de Play que valgan la pena. No me refiero a que traigan la ultima novedad del año, sino que juegos "clasicos" simplemente no estan (por ejemplo el FF Tactics).
Parece que es tiempo de emigrar a otra consola....dinero....dinero...$$$$

Sí... sale bien caro una consola de última generación... la más barata que cacho es la X box a 160 mil... La play 2 es más cara pero como puede leer DVD y esta el BoF nuevo...
La oferta va, es cosa de que me des tiempo no más; aquí se pueden encontrar varios juegos de play; originales y copias, pero igual hay varios que son díficiles de conseguir... Entre 4 amigos hacemos unos 400 juegos de play; podrías hacer una lista y avisarme, todo me toma tiempo pero puede suceder el milagro.

Igual te avisaria con tiempo y te mando el CD virgen o su equivalente en pesos. ¿Crees tu que con el TLC la Play2 bajaria de precio? La oferta más barata que he pillado es la Play2 + 5 juegos + controlador a $185.000 (igual, muy, muy caro)

Para el juego cualquier cosa reviso el cafe siempre en la semana, si me tras un mensaje aquí y lo veré.... En una de esas hacemos sociedad si me dices como estan los juegos de play 2 en Santiago ;P

Mi nuevo objetivo en la vida es comprar un PC para ver fan subs con capturadora y salida a TV... Nos vemos en 5 años ¬_¬
