Thank you Namco. This makes deciding to wait that extra 6 months worth it. The only question I have now is will Hawng play like his SC self, or will he just be a different model for Yunsung....

Don't know about PS2/XB versions, but you can play as those 3 characters in Japanese GC version with Action Replay codes... ;)

Still, it's a cool addition, nevertheless.

Edit: I should've clarified it better. The Action Replay code for Japanese GC version of SCII allows people to play as Assassin (who apparently has Hwang's moveset), Berserker (ditto with Rock's moveset), and Lizardman in VS & Time Attack modes. I believe you can play as Inferno via AR code as well.

But still no Li-Long! Everyone wants to see him come back! (how about as an Xbox exclusive!!! He returns from the dead as a Hell Spawn to avenge himself and Chi by destroying Mitsurgi, but upon learning Mitsurgi is not to blame he uses his powers for good!! He could use Maxi's basic moves with some of Spawn's cheap projectiles!)

Edgemaster, Soul Edge, and Arthur (does he even count as a true character?) are also missing, but something tells me no one gives a crap.

Note: it's crap like that story that prevents me from writing fanfics

Aww...spoony!

I was planning on boycotting the US version if they didn't include the Japanese voices!

Um, really? Ok. I wouldn't mind if they had good English voices. I think it'd be niceif they did that and had an option for the Japanese voices. I don't know how it's being done though...on the GCN demo it's just japanese.

The US voices are okay, for the most part. Personally, the only ones that don't sound right to me are Raphael and Cassandra, but they're still decent in their own way.

As to the original post... is this Hwang and Rock for certain, or is it just somebody mistakenly referring to Assassin and Berzerker? Either way, if they're playable that is 100% tight. Thank you Namco. Now just have a language option for the voices and holy crap I might just feel stupid for buying the import.

The SC machine that's still at the arcade here has Arthur instead of Mitsu, and I was shocked the first time I saw the machine years ago. The eyepatch is complete and utter badassness. I wished for an Arthur costume for Mitsu in the DC version, but no such luck. I want to see him again somewhere.

Ack! Li-Long!!! He was bad, I never liked him....Why in the world do you want him back. And Arthur isn't a real character.

I know Chie isn't dead, but Li Long's alive? His endings gave the impression he died (but Maxi died the same way, so I guess the endings don't count)... well if he's alive I hope he and Chie are happy with their baby and that he never shows up in another game.

Plus Li Long never defeated Cervantes/Soul Edge, did he? ^^
He has been confirmed to be alive and well in the "Xianghua Hen" Text Adventure game.

Eh, Rock, Hwang and Lizzie aren't enough reason for me to grab a US copy when I have this JP copy. They were dumb clones to start out with, and Yungsung > Hwang.

Except technically, Hwang and Rock were originals and Astaroth + Xianghua were the clones. Kinda hard to start out as a clone when the "originals" weren't even in the original game :P

I was thinking the same thing. Well, I for one am glad to see them in SC2.

In this case; everything is a plus. I just hope that they do add art for those "exclusive characters".... Then again I don't know why I do hope if chances says that I won't play and cetainly I won't own the game.
