Not much really pretty much an article talking about research from the university of Rochester stating that people who play high action video games have better visual skills. A fact I was confident existed before.

Yeah I saw a blurb on the news tonight about the study. It's funny, but I think it's totally true. You know sometimes when they sneak in one special frame in a movie like Fight Club and the Ring? The first time watching it I was in a room full of people who were non gameplayers and I was the only person who saw the frames without having to run it in slow motion.

Hehe, it's true! It's true!
Some good examples:

- Ikaruga has improved my driving skills.
There is no red, yellow, green light.
There is only black and white.
Suicide bullets are passengers of vehicles.
Police = boss enemy

- A dog nearly bit me the other day, but thanks to King of Fighters, I was able to dodge its frothy lunge

- I manage to water all the plants in my garden very fast, thanks to Mario Sunshine

On that same token, does Shenmue make you good at wandering around aimlessly and oblivious to chicks that want you???

DOH!

But thanks to Shenmue I'm great at discovering where sailors hang out.

Wow, really? Yeah, I know plenty of people who didn't see one-frame stuff like that when others I knew missed it... Interesting.

Heh heh. Are games also the reason why I can understand Pikey (in Snatch) when a lot of people I know can't understand a word?

Whee! Summertime!
