Canoes + Eri + new hostages + new walker = KICKASS.
That's generally my opinion too, the walker is pretty damn cool. Although... is it wrong for me to want to shoot diagonally?

Nope. I've been crying for that feature ever since part 2.

That looks nice, I wanna play.....
Anyway, Am I the only one surprised that GameSpot has actually been showing SNK stuff as of late?

Same here. Now if only that port of 3 would be released...

I don't know, didn't one of their editors call the NeoGeo the "best system ever" awhile back? Besides, with all the rescent announcements of PS2 (and possibly XBox) ports along with SNK USA's return, hereing more about there games from mainsteam sources doesn't come as that big of a surprise.

It better, since MS 4 was mostly rehashed material from part 3.

Actually, it doesn't really look like more of the same to me. Those backrounds look totally badass and unique, along with some cool looking new enemies. Definetely shaping up to more than just a rehash.

It is going to be better than MS4 for sure.. I can't imagine it being actually worse.. MS4 was just uninspiring..nothing innovative at all..

Nice to see Slug's still going strong.
Can't wait to see what develops.

Bah! I loved Metal Slug 4...a lot more than 3. I know Metal Slug is known for its difficulty, but I think that 3 took it a bit too far. The last stage in 3 is incredibly long for a single stage.
Iron D-itude fact 1: Iron D has never played a Goemon game.
Iron D-itude fact 2: Iron D has only seen three episodes of the new TMNT cartoon. He wishes he could see more.

Yeah, there are places where it obviously should have been broken up, but I guess they didn't want to disrupt the flow. I'd challenge anyone to make it through there with any hostages at the end.

Are these images mirrored somewhere? I can't see them, no images on GameSpot ever work for me... :(

Hey, it's part of the game. ;D Learn to live with it. ;D
Yes, there are worst cases... Ciberlip to name one... As for the game... I hope that they bring something really new, Metal Slug needs that... And yes, the last stage of Metal Slug 3 lasted for about 30 to 45 minutes... I can finish Samurai Spirits 1 on that time ¬_¬.

Eri-chan is back. The new machines look better than ever. There are new hostages to rescue. Metal Slug V will definitely be better than IV.
As for the ability to shoot diagonally, think about it soldiers. If that was implemented in all weapons and not just the heavy machine gun, Metal Slug would feel too much like Contra. That's not what we want it to be, ne?

People here are complaining about MS3 being long? I wanted more! Oh well... in my opinion the last level is specially cool, with lots of scenes with different gameplay and full of surprises... it has an "epic" feling. And yes, the game is hard, old-school hard, but possible to finish with a few continues, not a game to finish-without-dying-and-store like all of them are lately.
