quote: I'm a huge fan of the Shaman King manga (I'm so glad I have Shonen Jump) but I too think that most kids will not be interested. I must say that I'm more into Naruto and One Piece and look forward to them eventually making it to the US in anime format. I even think both of them would do well in the US, but I sure wouldn't want them on FoxKids. I'd like to see them on Toonami or Adult Swim. Of course, since I've seen none of the anime for any of these three and only read the manga, I don't know if I'd like the anime as much, though I probably would, especially One Piece. Anyway, here's hoping Shaman King does better than I expect and that it gets a good translation and good editing.
The One Piece anime hurts me. A lot. Because I love the manga, and the anime... just kind of irritates me. I haven't seen a lot of it, but I don't really like what I saw that much. I guess I imagined it a lot differently...
Naruto, on the other hand, did nothing but meet my expectations and exceed them. I like the show a whole lot, and can't wait to see more. The manga's awesome, too.

Yeah the Naruto anime is very faithful to the manga, it pretty much follows what happens in the manga word for word and panel by panel. I haven't read much of the One Piece manga, but after 150 episodes it's still going strong in Japan... I've seen the first 48 so far and I really like the show. I could see both One Piece and Naruto doing well on American TV.

I wonder how it'll turn out. Sonic X, that is.
AND LEAVE CHILI DOGS OUT OF IT, PLEASE.
That will be all.
BTW, I think the video game VAs will be reprising their roles in the dub as well. That means Ryan Drummond, Corey Bringas, Deem Bristow and so on. I think most of them did a pretty gooc job. I just hope they get rid of the woman who did Rouge's voice in SA2. She sounded awful.
Where darkness turns to light and order turns to chaos. 2003.
