Looks like all bets are off for the Sega-Sammy merger...
http://www.gamers.com/news/1368052
Most likely, Sega has now freed itself up to merge with Namco.
Will Square Enix and Namco Sega start a trend of companies merging to stabilize finances? Don't know for sure... but think of the possibilities. Maybe even Capcom/Playmore won't be out of the question anymore.

I kinda want Sega to merge with Namco. Let Sammy go do their own thing...

Fudge. I thought I heard that Sega was likely to merge with Sammy. Something to do with Sega's parent company wanting it to go that way. So much for that. I wanted them to merge with Namco anyway.
And even though it's a stupid idea, I still want to see it!
Tekken vs Virtua Fighter!
BTW, Namco should do what Capcom did and make a joke character based on a DOA character because of the dumb comments the Tecmo developer said about Tekken (I don't care about Tekken, but that's very poor manners for professionals to trash each other like that.) Maybe they can make a Zack character who sucks or something.

Or maybe some kind of Kasumi/Zack hybrid who sucks and hits people with her knockers . . . wait, that doesn't sound right at all.

Itakgi called Tekken 4 shit basically, saying it was an embarrassment to what had been a good series up to that point. After playing T4 I think he was only speaking the plain truth.
But a parody character in T5 would be cool anyway. :)

Anything related to Sega is the kiss of death anyway. They make great games and all, but knowing their poor business practices, 2 days after the merger the Segammy corperate headquarters would explode.

LOL. Correct. The heads of the Sammy execs would probably burst into flames upon hearing the news.

If some people were less stupid (so understand Sega can make a lot of very good games 'n buy it's home systems : Saturn or Dreamcast), Sega wouldn't be dead. And I think that you forget that Sega is the n°1 of arcade system.

I do like how sega and namco work individualy... But I can picture them working together... And Enix/Square??? I haven't heard of any projects nor anything. (less FFU for PC)

What a drag... There it should be a way to re-open the conversations.
