I have an RO question, but I didn't want to clog up the profile thread and keep people from posting their profiles, so I figured I'd better start a new one. This is mostly aimed at Kyo, NeoRyu, Holiday, or anybody else that's done a second class change before.
After I switch from Swordman to Knight, can I still use skill points on Swordman skills like Provoke, Endure, etc.? And if I have Swordman skill points left over when I change over to Knight, can I use those for Knight skills? The problem that I'm running into is that I'm not very interested in getting Magnum Break or going down the Provoke/Endure/Peco/Cavalier skill tree right now, so I'd rather just keep the skill points and use them on Two-Hand Quicken and Counter when I become a Knight. If that actually works, I'd have fourteen skill points available when I become a Knight and nearly master both Two-Hand Quicken and Counter right from the start.
I've read a lot of Swordman/Knight FAQs, as well as general RO FAQs, but I haven't seen anyone either recommend that you save up skill points or warn everyone that they'll lose skill points if they save up. Has anyone tried doing this before?

1- Yes, can still pick up on Swordsmen skills after you turn Knight. In example, if you only have 5 Lvs of HP recovery you turn knight, you can still raise it to 10.
2- No, you lose all remaining skill points when you turn to second class. So make sure you use up all your points beforehand.

Thanks, Prof. Now I just have to make a decision between Bowling Bash and the useless-but-cool PecoPeco Riding & Cavalier Mastery skills. PecoPecos are cool and I really hate the travelling time in RO... but I'm not sure I can give up a levelling advantage. The classic Red Mage dilemma...
Oh yeah, one more question. Is there anything wrong with PecoPeco riding? The things don't keel over after you take a certain amount of damage, or leave you if they're not fed like pets, or some other weird disadvantage, right? I'd definitely go for Bowling Bash if PecoPeco Riding is going to be lame. It's already lame enough that it takes twelve skill points to get it and the only consolation you get is Endure (Provoke appears to be useless for my current stat setup).

Nice -- so we won't have to wait until another 500 or 600 MB iteration of the client. Though, I wonder why they didn't include the extra features on the onset (if indeed it's true that they have extra features not found yet in the English client).
b.As for as I know, cRO(shanghai version) and cRO(taiwan version) is still free. Others are pay to play.
Wait -- Shangai and Taiwan version? How many versions of RO are there? (I thought what was listed on http://www.ragnarokonline.com was all of 'em.)
Also another question: Anyone know how long the current betas of Shangai and Taiwan versions have been running?
hehe, glad you notice cRO isn't linked from ragnarokonline.com. The thing is, cRO is not run by gravity but by Gamefiler. If you go to the korean RO website, it has a link to the many other countries that has RO. cRO has many changes not included in other ROs. They don't ban botting in that version. o_o;; Yhe draw back to that is that they give less exp. Drop rate differs also but I'm not sure how. I can probably find the links for you to sign up if you really want it, but I don't really recommend it. If you must play another version of RO and willing to pay, play jRO. I hear from a lot of people that jRO has the nicest community.

They probably want to test one thing at a time. For instance, cards are just completely broken in iRO. They're all selling for WAY too high, are WAY too rare, and usually aren't useful, because there isn't a lot of low level slotted armor, headgear, and accessories for the low level cards with +1 VIT, +1 DEX, or +1 of some other stat to fit into. In my opinion, someone needs to take the time to fix it, like giving one or two slots to the weaker stock armors in the town shops.
If they implemented all sorts of new stuff at the same time, it would not only be a nightmare to translate (not that they seem to care much about that at Gravity*), but would also spread their patchers far too thinly.
*Note: That's not a complaint. Engrish is half the appeal of this game for me. I are loving it muchly!

Yup -- you sell much of what you collect -- the assumption is that the people you sell the items to will be able to use the items to make more stuff. (You can also give items in exchange for other items -- an example is the Mr. Smile mask.)
If you perform tasks for random people (i.e. healing), they might include a donation for your services. (Don't go around expecting it -- and when you do get a donation, be sure to thank them.)
You could also try begging, but that's not in good taste.
Now, another question:
Is it possible to change hair style in the game? I know there's at least a hair dyer in Prontera, but I don't know if there's any sort of barber. I'd just be interested in changing the hair of my archer to be the same as the hair of my thief -- though I'm not unhappy with the current hair my archer has. (Both have blue hair, which I like.)
Another money-related question, out of curiosity: Is it possible to do a "normal" job in this game (i.e., as OmegaDog's post said, hair dyer), or is that left for NPCs?

Player Merchants are supposedly able to purchase items from NPC merchants at a discount, set up shop (via a message that looks like an away window), and sell the items for a profit where the buyer would still get a 15% to 20% discount compared to regular NPC merchants. The only problem is, from what I've seen (all of 6 days ^_^;), you have to set your character down in one location, set up a sign, and just wait while your items sell, until they all sell out or until you get tired of waiting. That's really not what I'd consider a fun time -- so I'd say, for the player's own sake, that it's better to become a Merchant if you've already got a party or guild lined up to which you can sell items. That way, you can fight alongside your party/guild, and when they want to go shopping, you can go about buying and selling items quickly without much wait time.
