I was wondering if anyone here knew which Pantone colors SNK, Capcom, and/or Konami (old logo) used for their corperate logos? Yeah I know... this isn't exactly right, but it's for a few personal art projects of mine, so I have no intentention of making money off of this. Still, if I'm asking something here that I shouldn't, please let me know.

Oh, and while I'm on the subject of graphic art, does anyone here know how to get Japanese text into the US version of Adobe Illustrator? I've gotten really tired of having to hand trace kana and kanji...

what's a pantone color? snk's logo is blue font over a black background (usually), capcom's logo has blue stroke with yellow fill, and konami's old logo orange and red with "konami" in black font. I hope that helps... but I somehow doubt it...

Its an international printing colour language providing an accurate method for the specification, matching and control of colour.

As for japanese text in US Adobe Illustrator, I've personally never tried that, and its not installed on this pc I'm on... But at least in Photoshop, I just pick one of the japanese fonts and input japanese text as I usually do.(using NJ communicator that is)

Here are some guesses looking at some stuff i have lying around, so it may not be correct. For SNK blue try PMS299 and for Konami Red PMS200 and yellow PMS144.

You could also email them and ask for the color tones, but playmore may deny the existance of their old logo and konami will probably tell you that their new logo is too legit to quit and that you should use that.

Edit:TOO LEGIT TOO LEGIT TO QUIT.

Its worth a shot, you are not really asking for anything wrong, the worst that can happen is them telling you "NO KTHNXBYE".

In case they say no, use my guesses or grab a pantone book and choose the tones you like the best. Having a pantone book comes in very handy if you do this kinda stuff often. You can find those in any Barnes and Nobles stores or Amazon.
