DoA doesn't have a real story, and the action/gameplay is pretty much spoony, so all they need to do to make the movie true to the game is get some softcore porn stars and make them wear revealing clothes!

It's like a game of " rock paper scissors ". Constant counters while waiting for somebody to actually do something. :D Oooh, man, too good to pass up.
As for the movie, well, it will be silly, but at least it might be close to the game's story. Who wants to bet that Christie will be the main character and Kasumi + Ayane will barely even be in the movie?

The article I read said it would focus on four girls, I'm guessing Kasumi, Ayame, Lei-fang, and Helena, but Christie and Hitomi would probably be easier to cast.
I like the gameplay of the DOA series, but it has no plot. This is stupid, though it can't possibly be worse than the Charlie's Angels movie.

ahh, but Tomb Raider had Chris Barrie in it, the guy who played Rimmer. RIMMER!

DOA, OTOH, is just built for the videogame movie curse. Though if they keep it simple, and just have a martial arts movie focusing on 4 girls it might be half not-bad... (But I doubt it).

Why are they bothering with a plot?? They should just get a bunch of girls that look like the characters, give them the suit they gave Angelina in Tombraider then have them walk around slowly and stretch. They could even have Dennis Rodman.

So the DoA film is going to be about a group of girls who model swim wear, play volleyball and occasionally wrestle each other? Ah, the magic of movies. While this is the stupidest thing I've heard since the last stupid bit of video game to movie news I will say that if someone manages to cast a good real-life Ayame I will either know who the future Mrs. Ishmael is or at least who will be my latest object of unrequited desire.

Well, depends on your definition of videogame movie. I think The Last Starfighter and The Wizard were both good video game movies, but as for movies based directly off of a specific real game, um,...I think Tomb Raider actually turned out pretty good. True I'm not very much into the game series, but still, I thought the movie was actually alright.
