For those of you who dont want spoilers, ignore this post. Others, just highlight below...
Spoiler (Highlight to view) - Wind Waker supposedly takes place hundreds of years after Ocarina of Time, but something has always bugged me. At the end of Ocarina of Time, Link is returned to his original time (as a child) after he defeats Ganon in the future. So going by this logic, did the alternate future where Ganon took over Hyrule really happen?
I'm curious because in Wind Waker, when you go into the temple where you get the Master Sword, you see stained glass window images of the 7 sages (Impa, Saria, King Goron, Ruto, etc). If there are sages, then the future in OoT where Ganon takes over Hyrule had to have happened, right?
To further complicate matters, there's the last end scene in Ocarina of Time, where young Link meets up with young Zelda in the castle.
Could someone please elaborate and clear this up for me?
