I'm considering buying this amime DVD, but want to hear some opinion from someone who already watched this anime movie.

If you like D (you have seen part 1 right?)then it's worth buying... or maybe if you like other Madhouse animations like Reign:the Conqueror.... or gothic features...

I'll just say it's worth buying so long as you know what you're getting into.

I liked the new VHD. I'll probably get a copy some day. I liked the old VHD better.

It's awesome. Get it.

It's directed by the guy that did Ninja Scroll, if you liked that one.

It feels different compared to the first movie, but overall I really liked it. Really worth getting.

I saw it twice in the theaters. It's not high art or anything, which is a departure for some anime funs, but it's still a really fun movie. The animation is beautiful, the action scenes are absolutely insane, and it's probably the best vampire movie I've ever seen. Somebody actually cared to pay attention to their subject matter and exploit it, which is something that you unfortunately don't see very often in vampire movies.

It's at least as good as the original. Probably better. And the hand... heh heh. The hand is awesome.

No Japanese voice track, though. It was originally in English, voiced by a group that's done a few Jet Li movies like Black Mask, and they used Japanese subtitles for it in Japan. I don't think there was even a single line of bad voice acting, though, which was pretty surprising. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.
