Am I the only one who hasn't played this game yet?

I've played 98,99,2k and 2k1. But this game hasn't come to my shitty arcade yet.

How is it? I heard from Rugalbernstein it has a crappy ST. I've listened to some songs. The Mexican one is by far one of the wrose tracks I've heard from a video game.

u know, some ppl care bout graphics, sound, whatever, when they see a fighting game. but when u have gameplay as good as this, u dont care, cuz u dont think about it.

may lee is sooo freaking powerful this year..her normal combo (no stock) is 60%!!! but its not as easy as you think. and she cant combo from jabs anymore, oh well.

I happen to love KOF 2002's soundtrack; but I'm always going against the majority in situations like this (I didn't have a problem with SF Zero 3's OST either.).

Might not like Billy this year. He lost his DP+punch move for his old high angle poke from the FF games.

Yamazaki; as far as I can tell (Neither he, not Billy are favorites of mine.) is the same as he was in KOF 98.

Who else do you like? I'll try to be a unbiased as I can.

Don't have many gripes with the latest KOF. Strikers are gone; that alone makes it a better KOF game in my eyes.

Oh yeah an edit note, disregarding my ahem other method. I first saw KOF2K2 when I was in Alcapolco. When I met Onslaught we went to the arcades and that is the 1st time I saw it.

Ha ha ha, what I say is sort of misrepresented here (big surprise, huh?) I've said it's probably the best KOF in a long time game play wise, but the sound track is mediocre. Eric just confuses me sometimes in that he'd much rather here the music from KOF 2002 than say, Shin Contra or Gate of Thunder, which is mind boggling to me. ^_^

I used to put sound tracks up periodically in Holiday's FTP, but nobody was really interested, and he switched jobs anyway, so I kind of stopped doing that. I have plenty of good ones if you're interested, though.

I play '02 everyday !
But I regret that the COM sucks this year (even in level-Expert), It's like an improved training mode.
Billy owns this year cause of his very high damage DM 'n his crazy poking game (dwn A ; jp C ; dwn C ; etc.). Choi too (cx C ; A, A 'n again 'n again).

man, for me, J is awesome. the stage and the song -- it's just so freakin' beautiful. as for the rest of the music, i think they tried to cram too much into one game. i was disappointed with the quality of the music of some old favorites (Beauty & the Beast and Tears to name a few). i'd have been happier if they took out all (or the majority) of the team songs and just made the quality of other songs better, but ehhh it's all in the past. my words mean nothing

as for the game itself, pretty cool physics. plays similar to kof2k1. well, with that extra "power mode" (or whatever it's called). i haven't tried out too much in that mode, except to power up for an SDM. i'll give it a go one of these days

they made Vanessa's close C normal execute too quickly, along with a couple of other changes to other characters that i haven't yet gotten used to, but new kof, new moves. it's only a matter of getting the hang of them

oh yea, very crappy AI. yet, i always get raped when i meet Igni-- um, Rugal. i guess it's my "style of fighting." i'm too aggressive or too stupid or something XD

computer is kinda wierd

2k2 aint bad

and its good to have yashiro, yamazaki and billy back

personally i havent liked any music since 98 :(

Yup. Solution, do quarter and quarter:

HCB = QCB + QCF
HCF = QCF + QCB

Two problems: doesn't work with double halfs and if you have an Orochinagi-like or Yaotome-like DM, the character will perform it instead of the half circle move:

Orochinagi = QCB + QCF too
Yaotome = QCF + QCB too
