Remember it is much easier to port stuff over to the DC then PS2, so the PS2 port always comes later then the DC.
SNK/Playmore holds only a small portion of the market, if they were to publish the game on XBox, which by itself also holds only a small portion of the market, the returns would be so miniscale that they might as well not do it at all.
What's wrong with the Dreamcast anyway? Its still a great console, and it still gets great games. Aside from that its no longer in production and getting a new unused one if the old one dies is out of the question...

Plus the DC is good for supporting game software like the KOF series.
KOF 2002 would,IMO,look out of place on the PS2,don't know why. That's just my humble opinion.

Haha, I'd never thought that I'll get to spend more money on my beloved Dreamcast, unless if I need to get it repaired.
And if they keep up this trend, it looks like the Dreamcast will get SvC:Chaos one day as well? Let's hope it's true, boys and girls! Support this game and make SvC a reality on the DC one day :)

Interesting news. I'd be more interested in these if they gave them arranged sound tracks.. I wonder if the Playmore sound team will ever make one? :(

Wow you are pissed about the game being released on DC.
King of Fighters 2000 was released for PS2 after the Dreamcast one, and KF2001 is scheduled for PS2. I'd bet that KF2002 will come out for PS2 also.

yes, and don't forget that KOF 2000 sold three times as many copies on the DC as on the PS2. It's pretty obvious that their market still owns and uses the DC.

SNK didn't become mainstream when their stuff was being released on the PSX, why would it happen on the PS2?
www.videogamedepot.com already has it up for pre-order though you obviously have plenty of time to get a pre-order in.
No question of me getting this game on the DC. I can put it right next to 98, 99(JPN and US), 2k, and 2k1. :)

Everybody who bought 2000 must have bought 2001. So that means that everyone who bought 2000 and 2001 will buy 2002.
And if Svc is released on DC, everyone who bought 2000,2001, and 2002 will buy it. well...maybe in a perfect world. but i can still dream..
