I'm I behind the times? When did it come out???
I played it last night and I didn't get too far into the game. But it was so cool ^_^

The arcade version came out in (late?) 2002, and the XBox version was out in late 2002/early 2003.

It's very fun, but the autoreload makes the game quite easy to finish in a few hours.
Still, it's a nice game, but I've only touched the arcade version.
I don't think it did very well because it disappeared from the arcade in about two months :(
Hmm, or maybe the arcade was under Zombie Attack at night and the machine was dragged away...

LOL!! Or in my case they ended up at Dave & Buster. I made it to the 3rd boss and the whole shotgun reload was fun. Shame it didn't do to well. But I'll just shell out the $20 for stress relief, I don't care...LOL!!!

It'd be fun for improving my typing skills, since, currently, I type with only five fingers on one hand, saving the right hand for special occasions such as....um, nothing, actually. ^_^

Do you remember how much the arcade cost per life? I remember Gameworks getting it a few months back but it was $2 per credit. Never touced the game.

Wow! I never even knew this hit arcades. I've never seen a machine or heard anything about it. I'd like to buy the Xbox version when it gets a little cheaper and I can afford a gun too, if only to play HotD2 within it. I wish HotD1 was there too... my Saturn copy is nice, but it's not perfect.

And on a totally unrelated topic... does anyone remember a Sammy light gun game called Zombie Raid? It was sprite-based, and pretty cool... Kinda hokey, but in a fun way. It's hard to find anyone who's ever heard of it.

Played it today.... i like that I no longer have to aim off screen to reload.. just cock the giant, plastic, shotgun thingy and continue.. but.... seeing as you can reload a hell of a lot easier....... the enemies are a bit harder to kill now. you could shoot their heads off which in the other game was an instant kill.... but no they have these little green slime dudes that keep coming at you even if you decapitate them with your shotgun.

Hit the legs, that's the fastest way to kill'm and you get a ton of points for it.

Btw the reload in this game is way better then the last one. ^_^ but your arm hurts after a while..LOL
