Seriously, I don't know what the thought behind that one was.

Well, it was a Rare-developed game. What did you expect, other than a fetch quest with nice graphics (albeit with a nauseating art style) and derivitive gameplay? It was like a poorly-designed Zelda with no compelling reason to continue to play. Bored me a lot.

With SFA being Rare's last game on a Nintendo console, I don't feel that Nintendo's losing much.

I doubt the new one could be worse. But I'd like to have another one as good as Star Fox 64.

I think the reason why SF adventures was so weird is because they were probably being whipped by Nintendo. Look for original screens of Dinosaur Planet for the N64, apparently they had something else planned for the game, they seemed to be putting a lot of work before Miyamoto said that it would be interesting to see Star Fox characters in Dinosaur Planet (thats were everything went downhill.) Now RARE is not complete crap, Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark, and Conker's Bad Fur Day were pretty fun. You angry fan boy.

Im a bit more tolerant towards games, yes it had a lot of things that could have been much better, but the thing that ruined the game for me was the end.

Spoiler (Highlight to view) -
YOU DONT DOG FRIGGING ARGH get to fight General Scales. THEY FRIGGING STICK ANDROSS AT THE END FOR NO F REASON URRRGGGHHHHAAAAA]!!!!!1111111111!!!

End of Spoiler

I also didnt like the fact that they get you stuck with Tricky, hes not even cute, hes a walking ball of stupid (at least Fox makes fun of him) and they make you play stupid ball fetch games with him saying that "something cool will happen!" my arse. He just changes colors.

But I have to give them credit for the visuals. The game looks impressive with a progressive scan tv. But thats it.

Star Fox Armada? ah yes the topic.

Why are people blasting this game? It wasn't *THAT* bad. Sure, it's no Zelda: OoT, but it did pass the time, even when it wasn't perfect.

Well, being a Namco fan, I'm interested in this, as long as they stay far, far away from what they did in Star Ixiom...

Speaking of which, I need a new Colony Wars! (or better, more Kilrathi goodness in a new Wing Commader)

I think that this site is probably a fake. The domain name and the source of the splash image go back to http://rpg.itinaris.be and its IP address (81.17.45.234), which traces back to the Netherlands, is different from Nintendo.com's (216.74.145.75) and Namco.com's (204.176.179.205). I'd be pretty surprised if it were real, because I can't imagine why either company would be basing one of their websites out of the Netherlands, especially when their others aren't.

Hi, by the way.

sweet merciful crap.

you're right!

unless there's a far off chance that namco/nintendo hired an outside source to make the official page. but that seems unlikely.

welcome to the cafe new customer. enjoy your stay.

Tricky was simply appalling. And yeah, if you can't tell, I have a bit of a distaste for Rare. I feel like they cheapened 3D platform and adventure games. I was pretty excited about Banjo-Kazooie, hoping for something of the quality of Super Mario 64, and... what I got was hunting for tons and tons of irrelevant items. JFG was okay, Perfect Dark and Goldeneye are really good as far as console FPS go... oh, and to their credit, I really liked the idea behind Blast Corps. And a lot of it was really fun. But some of it was insanely infuriatingly hard.

And Conker was pretty funny at times, too.

But overall, yeah, I don't really like them. But I might change my tune if the Xbox Perfect Dark turns out to be more fun at parties than Halo.
