Hey- for those of you who have DOAX... do you know if the kitty ears accessory made it to the final game? Last I heard it was still in (and the most expensive thing in the game)... Has anyone here gotten it yet?

Yes and no...
You can't buy them... but Tina, Lisa, Christie and Helena get "cat" themed customs that include them for free! (they also have tails!)
Other Ears+tails: Ayane has a similar Racoon suit, While Lei Fang and Hitomi have bears (Lei's being a panda, Hitomi's being brown)... Kasumi has an exclusive Rabbit suit while Tina has a Playmate costume you can trade, these obviously give you Bunny Ears...

I've gotten all of the animal swimsuits. So some evil inhuman soul took the kitty ears out??? That's NOT cool. I love the animal swimsuits, but I wanted the separate kitty ears that ANYONE could wear.
Now, I'm pissed.

are you sure there were even ears to begin with? or did people just assume there were because they saw shots of the animal suits?

Nope. Screenshots from before it was released showed a headband with cat ears on it, buyable from the Accessory Shop. And they went on and on about how expensive they were. It was a SEPARATE item from the cat swimsuits...

There was a screenshot of them in the accessory shop in the preview of DOAXVB in a back issue of OXM. I wanted to scan it, but I couldn't find the issue. It was definitely shown in the game though and while some people claim to have seen it, they haven't proved it so I think it was in fact taken out.
I share your bitterness over this, though I'm comforted by the fact that I got Helena into the white bunny suit. :)

Yeah, I've got that back issue too. That's the picture I was thinking of. Still, that's pretty dirty taking it out.
I wonder if that's one of the things you unlock using Survival mode from DOA3? But you'd probably have to get eleventy billion wins or something evil like that...
