Spoiler (Highlight to view) - Kenshin and Kaoru met a little boy named Myojin Yahiko (a descendent of samurai) who was a pickpocket for some Yakuza but didn't like it and they freed him and now he is training under Kaoru in the Kamiya Kasshin style.

Is this going to be predictable for the next few eps(aka Kaori gets in some sort of trouble and Kenshin comes in to save the day)? Or is something big going down soon?

That doesn't happen a whole lot but when it does it's a big deal.
A major point of the first half of the series is that Kenshin's past as a violent killer keeps pulling him back in (I don't think the second arc of the comic made it into the TV show but that's the point of that too; I haven't seen the that part of the tv series). This endangers his friends which is why he was a wanderer for so long. At certain points the affects Kaoru but I won't spoil it.
