Well... somewhere out there, a message board has just done down. And somewhere out there... people are learning to have lives because their favorite internet addiction has been frozen in time and no one can post. *grins* We experienced a little of this ourself. As for me... for a while, I actually got a life... very reluctantly. (I dislike being social anyway.)
But in my attempts to avoid social situations I aquired many things that I can update you guys with.
1) The arrival of a new tablet. I finally got myself a new tablet, a decent one. Finally, I have a Wacom. And I am in love. I'm practicing with it to get the hang of it and might I add that I'm catching on pretty quick. With the new features that come along with this (opposed to my last piece of poo tablet) I expect a sharp increase in the quality of my work. I believe this is exactly what I've been needing to raise the level a bit.
2)Peach Girl manga. I managed to get only volume 5.. but it was very interesting. It's been recommended to me so many times now that I couldn't stand not getting it. Favorite charater is, without a doubt, Kiley. By far is he my favorite.
3)Kingdom Hearts. I know I'm running a little behind shedule. (That's sort of due to the fact that I spent a long time in an inadequate position of lacking a playstation.) Next goals are Xenosaga and a few others. I still have LOTS of games to play. But despite my dislike for Disney (as I dislike most of Disney's works).. I like Kingdom Hearts. Perhaps it has something to do with the random Squaresoft characters.. I rarely find myself alone with the horrifying Disney charaters. My mother, however, will adore the game and never let my have my Playstation2 back, I'm sure. (And yes.. my mother is a pretty hardcore gamer. She used to be up with the arcades long before I was even born. So one might ask oneself.. are female gamers genetic? You decide.)
And those are some recent events that are going on here.
For Mokondo, I wrote a really cheesy fairy tale, if you're interested. It was an assignment for my English class. And since you said you liked my writting I thought that you might be interested in seeing it once it's finished. I just need to do a little revising on it and it'll be alright.

quote: well.. it didn't get many posts.. heh heh... so I figured I'd bump it up. Just incase someone was actually interested but hasn't seen it yet because at the current moment those someones are wandering around convinced that the board is still broken. Thus, having no reason to check it and see this post..... umm.. yeah.. excuses excuses. Ciao.
I know. Don't you hate it when no one replies. O_O >_< :p
Well, anyway, about Kingdom Hearts. I'm feeling you. I'm addicted to this game. I've been playing it straight through for 3 weeks now, after I got my new PS2 after my old PS2 broke. A brillant game!Square and Disney,a powerful combination!
What're your favorite worlds,TK? Mine are Traverse Town(so colorful),Halloween Town(Lock,Shock and Barrel,Oogie's killer roulette wheel! Ah!),Deep Jungle(I liked Clayton as a villian, suave and classy) and Hollow Bastion was confusing yet cool.
One thing I noticed is that Sora and Winnie The Pooh just don't mix.

I've only clocked two hours.. but that was just the first day I got it. This is the second day..a nd granted I've clocked no hours because I'm busy with school work. But basically.. I'm only two hours in. I haven't seen very much at all. But it seems interestin enough. I can't really express how much I really dislike disney.. the sight of Mini Mouse makes me reel with sickness. But hey... that's just me. ^_^; Everyone's entitled to an opinion.
Mokondo: Yes yes.. I'll mail it or whatever to you as soon as possible. I'll just need to run over a revision. Once again.. I haven't forgotten that other story. It's STILL on my mind, and I think about it whenever I'm running through my "to do" list. Unfortunately I still haven't found the time for such a large task. Perhaps I'll have to start forcing myself to take it little by little. (Though I usuall find that to be the worst tactic for me. I don't know about anyone else, but I have such a hard time getting back to things I set aside.)
But I'm still thinking about it. As for the fairy tale, I'll send that off to you asap. And I figured real life got ya. ^_^; You were the one I was thinking of when I wrote that. ^_~;

So the board's back up, eh? I remember logging on over a week ago, trying desprately to post a reply of some sort, and failing. Anywhat, I've had a fun-filled non-MMC week.
Let's see...
1) Thursday, I got my A level results. I didn't do too well, and as such may not qualify for university enterance. Damn the compettive Asian education system! The road in front is suddenly a blur.
Bought a Master Grade G-Gundam kit to cheer me up. Connected part of the frame wrongly, and had to break said frame and superglue it to its rightful placement.
One bright spark out of the whole results screw-up is that my girlfriend says she'll be there for me no matter what. This is despite that she's in the estimated top 10% of the nations brightest students and'll be doing accelerated degree courses in uni.
2) Friday, babysat my neighbour's kids. Got paid Sing $66 for playing with two children, watch Snow Dogs, Scooby Doo, and Harry Potter and playing Transformers. Even got walked home by their daddy afterwards.
3) Saturday: My girlfriend finally got her TOEFL (Test O' English as a Foreign Language) results back on Saturday. It's 30/30/30/6. Perfect, as per usual for her. We went to the fair to celebrate.
4) Sunday was fun, fun, FUN! I visited an old friend for his birthday party. Got to make friends with some of his friends (read: his friends are now MY friends), and managed to see other people I hadn't seen in over a year! We played GGXX, DOA 3 and DOA Volleyball! And watched Big O and Blackadder! And it was the most fun I've had in a long time!!! And it shows because of the frequency at which I'm using exclaimation marks!!!!!
oh, and I kept on screaming "Ride the Jelly!" during Ky's super. That may have irriated my friend's parents. And maybe I shoulda have used grabs less during GGXX. And maybe I shouldn't have agreed to split the taxi fare back home 50-25-25 with two of my friends. Then again, I was drunk on serotinin the entire day and night. Damn! making friends rocks!
NB: Ky's super = "Ride the Lightning". Ky = KY Jelly. Ky = Altar boy who is probaly repeatedly buggered by Father Pete O'Phil, the default unit of evil Catholic priest. Therefore, "Ride the Lightning" = "Ride the Jelly".
5) Monday: Went to Orchard Road, Singapore's shopping belt, for pasta with girlfriend. Also bought Sandman 5: A Game of You. Now all I need is Sandman 1 to complete the 10-volume collection. The story for 5 is not so much action-driven as character driven. Gaiman seems to be using the story to explore the concept of identity, subdividing it into gender, name, family, sexual orientation, dreams, job et al. He also makes very very astute comments about the nature of boy fantasies and girl fantasies.
"Little boys have fantasies in which they're faster, or smarter, or able to fly. Where they hide their faces in secret identies, and listen to the people who despise them admiring their remarkable deeds."
"Now, little girls, on the other hand, have different fantasies. Much less convoluted. Their parents are not their parents. Their lives are not their lives. They are princesses. Lost princesses from distant lands. And one day the king and queen, their real parents, will take them back to their land, and then they'll be happy for ever and ever. Little cuckoos."
Also, met up with Joel, and he evangelized me to the cause of Smallville. In payment, I showed him the gospel of old-school B&W Twilight Zone. As it stands now, we're a quarter through the first season of Smallville, and three episodes into the Zone. We resumed viewing Tuesday night and redux tonight.
Also, spent Tuesday afternoon with aforementioned girlfriend watching Cowboy Bebop and Saber Marionette J. Currently, we're at the parts where Gren's and Tiger's stars fall. Cooked ramen for her dinner too.
6) Wednesday afternoon: Now, am typing this while trying to get through girlfriend on her handphone so's we can meet up today. Will also have to contact universities as regards course applications.

Out of all that writing... would you believe that your girlfriend's perfect scores caught my attention the most. ¬_¬ She makes me jealous. But ..... then again I am your typical lazy American chick. ^_^; A professional couch potato. But oh well.. someone has to do it. ^_~ Might as well be me. Hee hee hee... no really.. there's an upside. I'm not that lazy. I actually study a lot. I'm just not that smart. My strength is in common logic and every day life wisdom and random pointless facts. Academics is when I have trouble. I don't learn well in a school environment. But when I teach myself, there's no end to it. (Afterall, I taught myself HTML and I'm starting on Javascripting. And I'm teaching myself Japanese.. and not doing a half bad job.)

Yep, I understand all too well what it means, not being able to learn in a school enviroment.
When it comes to learning by myself, I suppose I CAN; but I lose interest quickly. Fer 'zample, I havent touched the ol' Photoshop in over a week now.
And there were the time I tried leaning Japanese and Latin.
And when I tried making, at different times, a Trigun webpage and an Evangelion webpage.
Don't be jealous about her perfect scores - for everything, there's a trade-off.
Oh, BTW, I sent you my 30% complete write-up on Edrard via ICQ. Go check!

I have absolutely no patience when it comes to some things. I just seem to have an affinity for learning on my own. (Though academics isn't my best area.)
