damn, voldo looks creepier in 3 dimensions. even as an action figure.
ivy = hottest action figure ever
too bad they picked nightmare's first costume, the second one (the half siegfried one) looks a lot cooler.

You know, the detail is great, but Ivy looks really stupid doing a wraparound stance without the sword wrapped around her. I hope the whip version is an accessory or something.

Looks nice, and I'm glad they picked Ivy as figure given the way McFarlene handles cute action figures...
(Which is not good...See his Anime figure line up for proof of that)

I like it this way. Just pretend that Nightmare is some sort of mecha titan when displaying it with smaller-scale toys like the 1/144 scale Gundams

So Necrid was "Secret Figure"?!?!
Wow, I'm impressed... not surprised since he's also Todd's character, just impressed Todd passed up the chance to make ANOTHER version of his baby.

I liked his anime line and was disappointed he didn't do a third line. His Tenchi and Ryoko figures are great, and I really like his Vash and Armitage. I guess I'll have to get Ivy and Nightmare. Wish they were bigger though, and movable.

You might be able to move the head, an arm or a wrist a bit, but thats about it. They are designed to be more like a desktop toy/statue, but very cool still.
From the anime line up I liked the akira and GITS ones, they seem to be better at creating figures based on more realistic or monster characters.

Cooler indeed, but impossible to find or super expensive unless you are in Japon!

Juan: Agreed, I liked his more serious Anime figures more than the comedy ones, which he couldn't really pull of. His Akira figures were top notch, as was the Soul Taker and Vash. I didn't like his GitS figure, as it's nowhere near as good as the Toycom ones (Though those used the movie design, which I don't like as much as the manga...)
Hungry: I really didn't like his Tenchi figures, especially Ryouko. The eyes just don't fit..His Vash was okay...
Rid: Ohh, I like that Ivy more...Now if I could find it in NA...
Droooooooooooooooooooooooooooooools. Maybe Im a pervert but Ive never seen so detailed (for a figure lol) boobs ·_· volume...pressure..they're perfect.
Btw, 9000Yen is not too expensive for a 1/8 figure ·_· cool

Not me! they're gonna look great next the Clerks: Inaction Figures on my shelf! yep, my shelf of small imobile figures (they're an inch smaller then the Clerks ones but still close enough it won't look odd with Jay and Bob hitting on Ivy)

Ivy's face is uber-smooth, but her back looks as though she's been playing with her weapon one too many times. It looks....freaky. And what's up with that line running through her sword arm?
Most importantly, though, when's the figures coming out? Ivy and Nightmare will look good flanking my McFarlane Vash and kicking over my HG 1/144 Endless Waltz Gundams

The line its probably where they united the main body with the arm, hopefully it will have some movement (i seen this in other figures like a ss64 Shiki that i have, has a similar line separating the body from the arm but there is no articulation.)

So if the line shows up prominently on the actual figure, will I then have to pretend that Ivy is one of them saber marionettes with overheating safety measures on her arms?

While the rendition of Nightmare and the others are cool it looks like McFarlane Toys is still indulging in their love of the grotesque. I was hoping for a really rough and tumble looking Mitsurugi or one of the other more human looking characters but, given McToys track record, it's not surprising that their selection skewed toward the more monsterous characters.
That outfit on Sophitia was always just this side of impractical but thanks to the stylized version of her presented there she's going to need perfect posture to keep from falling out of that dress.
