I'm not really sure when this game was supposed to be released, or if it is indeed already out, but the ROM's floating around out there already, for the curious residents of this board. Taking a look at it, so far it looks mighty nice, and the little I've understood of the story sounds pretty neat. You've gotta' love their attention to detail, in spite of the low resolution. Everything looks very vivid, and the tiny character sprites are cute as hell. I don't think anyone who enjoyed the original will be let down by this game, but I'll leave that up to each and everyone of you to find out.

I love that there is apparently an option to set up the color pallete so it looks best when emulated.

I'm going to search the rom right now, but you are not allowed to ask for roms or rom pages in this bbs. See the rules. Anyway, it hasn't got to be very difficult...

the game looks very cool, but why I can't walk in towns? or is this normal with Tactics?

You never played the first Tactics? Well, how it was done in the first game was that you could only go to the shops in a town through a menu you could access when on a town. You could never just wander around town unless you are in battle there. How are those new 'laws' or 'rules' they have to fighting now? I'm kinda curious to see how those play out.

The law system seems really cool so far. It seems like each area has different laws, and if you break the law, the ref will give you a yellow or red card.
For instance, in one of the first battles, I think there is a "no healing" law. If you are desperate, you can heal a character, but your healer will be warned, and then jailed on a second offense.
Also at the end of the battle you will be fined for violations.

The very first quest you can do has a "no rapier" law I believe, so you can't attack with swords, or the offender will be warned.
