I've played the new Legend of Zelda, and it is good. At least what I played was. At the local Gamestop they have a playable demo set up of the new Zelda. You can play a dungeon, you can play a stealth part of the game, or you can play a boss battle. I played the dungeon and the boss fight. I can't wait to get this game. I also can't wait til this coming sunday when I pre-order Zelda and get the Ocarina of Time disc for my cube.

I just played the new Zelda yesterday. SamGoody has a demo that you could play. It was cool as hell. It was a little weird looking at it at first, but after a while I just loved it. I'm gonna try to pre-order it, but I don't know if they have the Ocarina of Time deal y'know.

Also, do any of you know if the Ocarina of Time has it's own case or is it just a disc? Maybe The Wind Waker will be a 2 disc case just in case you preordered it. OK, I doubt that will happen.

Unlike JPN version (which came in paper sleeve), US version of Zelda preorder bonus disc comes in the regular GC game case.
And it is not too late to receive free bonus disc yet, since many of the non-VG specialty stores (Wal-mart, Target, Best Buy etc.) just started taking preorders.

One of my friends who placed preorder via EB's website already received his bonus disc. However, local EB is refusing to give out the disc (they have in stock) until the designated date...

Mainly to avoid people from screwing them over. Like a friend I have, he hates the new look of Zelda but he wanted the ocarina of time discs, so he had this brilliant plan of preordering the game then return it right away so he could keep the discs. Haha.

The reason why they send the discs early for the online orders is because online orders cant be refunded. Or something like that.

Edit:Dorikyasu, is that a beaten up red headed step child dreamcast on your avatar?

I wish I put down more money for it -_-

I put down $5 back in January and happily continued without a second thought. But now that bonus disc goodness is just around the corner, I call GameStop and they tell me they're giving out their bonus discs in order of how much you paid for it, and not when you pre-ordered, like a bunch of other stores. ><

I'm at the bottom of the list, I know it.

According to the promotional stuff you have to put down $15.00 on it.

I'm sure I don't know what I'm talking about here because I haven't played the new Zelda, but there's a stealth part in the game??? Why do we keep seeing stealth play showing up in games that don't need it? It fits fine in Tenchu, MGS, and Splinter Cell, but... Zelda? That just seems like throwing stealth levels into a MegaMan game or something. Are there parts of Zelda where you HAVE to sneak around, or is it an OPTION? If it's an option, then that's cool. But if it's a level or two where you have to sneak around and stealth-kill people or something seems like they're just trying to be like Metal Gear. But like I said, I haven't played the new Zelda so I don't know how the stealth stuff works in the game.

The CompUSA I work at is using the Ocarina of Time bonus discs as the prebooks. In other words, you buy the Ocarina of Time GameCube port for $10 and you're on the list for Wind Waker.

The game is one disc, containing OoT and the Master Quest, and demos for other GC games (I think they're uinplayable demos, but I don't know for sure). The case has a red-stained wood look to it, with the OoT logo and the blue-font Master Quest logo on the front. It doesn't even have the normal GameCube black lip on the top.

We've gotten two shipments (16 or so discs total) so far. Each time they come in, they're price tagged at $10 and put on the shelf.

The EBX I prebooked Zelda at in December hasn't gotten back to me on the status of the bonus disc yet.

I find the situation very funny, in all honesty. Joe Schmoe can come in and buy "1997's Game of the Year" for $10 and never come back for Wind Waker.

Well, it's not as bad as you make it sound like...
Especially if you consider the fact that Ocarina of Time (N64) had parts which required stealth (sneaking into Hyrule Palace, Escaping from Gerudo Fortress, etc.).
Who says stealthy gameplay has to be limited to MGS & its clones?

And to answer Juan's question: Yes, it is DC. (dorikyasuko/doricasko to be exact...)

All right. Well, that's why I started off with "I haven't played it, so I'm probably wrong" and all of that. I was just saying that sometimes it seems like some games in the past were adding stealth because there were some big-name games centered around sneaking and that was the cool new thing to have in a game. I don't want stealth limited to MGS, I just don't know if some of the games that had it really should have. I don't know. Just a thought.

heh.... you used every stealth trick in the book when u only had 1 heart left in the middle of some labryninth with no other means to heal yourself whatsoever so I dont see whats the biggie. Stealthy things werent a big deal until mgs came out and made it the main point of gameplay rather than run-n-gun and now ppl are treating it like a gimmick even though some prequels of current games used it beforehand.
