from my site:
Ever since the GBA-SP news break, Tim has been talking about the "co-incidence" of release dates with Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. Now here's a further marriage between the events; a special edition GBA-SP FFT-A pack in. You get the game, a special edition pearl-white GBA-SP, an AC adapter, a FFT-A wrist strap, an FFT-A/GBA-SP carrying case, all for 18,300 yen, or roughly $180 US. The package will be released on the 14th of February, and pre-orders will begin January 17th (soon!). No pics of the unit yet, but this info came straight from the source. Link from Namae no Nai Heya.

Just copied and pasted. sorry if it looks strange.

As cool as the offer sounds and as good as the deal is for all that for $180, I think I'm gonna hold off... I have the Japanese Tactics Ogre SFC cart, and let me tell you, strategy games in a language you don't understand well are pretty rough! Well, except for Front Mission, with its full-English menus. That rocked.

Plus, the GBA color I want, cobalt, is only coming out in the US. I saw pics of it a while ago, and was shocked to see that it actually was a unique color, a shiny, deep blue. So waiting for that and FFTA in English will be worth it, I think... but that's just my two cents.

thanks mozex ^_^

and yes, I would wait too. but the package does sound good for those who want to have it ASAP.

I too would prefer to play the game in english...I get the feeling that FFT-A will be kanji heavy!!

Yes, I can't say I'm not tempted. I'd like to see what the special GBA looks like, but I too would rather play FFT-A in English than spending $180 for the import.
