Hey! Two questions.

1. I have a very old version of M.U.G.E.N. 11/29/00 to be exact. If I get the new version, 4/14/01, I believe, will my 11/29 stuff still work on the 4/11 version?

2. Does anyone know any anime related M.U.G.E.N. sites? i.e. get characters and stages from anime series like Rurouni Kenshin.

To answer your questions.

1)Yes, but it may be a little buggy, most creators try to upgrade them to 4-14 so that they're a little more polished. But yes they do work

2) I'm pretty sure you can find a couple of fairly well rendered RK character's here:

under Edited Characters. Soujiro and Aoshi are the only good versions I'm aware of.

By the way will Mugen for Windows EVER come out?

I tried to make an ultimate KOF by downloading every KOF character there is, but eventually there were a few guys who were older versions and didn't work in the newest Mugen so I was out of luck. But most importantly, I got sick and figured it wasn't worth it because the AI is so friggin dumb or too hard, why even bother?

In short: Nobody knows.
Elecbyte hasn't been reachable for ages now, and they haven't updated their site since the last Linux release. It's funny too, as the donation page still says that the Windows port is "on its way". *sigh*

As for character compatibility, as long as the character was made for at least 2001-01-01, I _think_ they should be alright, if nothing else with a little modification. I don't remember when all the changes occured now... If you're unsure, keep the old version while downloading the new and checking it out. Although most character authors, if they're still "in the business" tend to update what they've already made. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll have to go back to programming Spidey's Ultimate Web Throw. (targetbind targetbind targetbind *groan*) ^_^;

I JUST found out about MUGEN. I can't seem to get it to work at all. Anyone have any tips? At first it wouldn't run because the "fonts wouldn't load," but that seemed to stop. Now it's "can't load video" or something like that.
