-> I knew that K' has "A beast of pray" written in his back but, as seen in this game, Kula has something written too. Anyone knows what does it say?

-> About the Ryuuko characters, from their attacks' names I thought Robert was the dragon and Ryo the tiger, and I still think this way. But some doubts have started to appear now, when I read Robert's 2002 quote: No I'm the Mighty Tiger. I'm no Invincible Dragon!. And I had already read that Robert was the tiger and Ryo the dragon in a magazine once. I just thought they were wrong then, now I'm not that sure.

-> Still about AOF: Who's Seymour?

-> They like the "act like..." phrases, don't they? See Rugal's act like a ginea pig an be experimented on, Iori's act like a cherry blossom... and scatter you pinhead! and Yamazaki's Man, you're a pain; Act like a parking meter and expire (this one's my favourite ^_^).

-> What's with Leona about Chang? Your genuine power... makes you kinda cute.

That's all.

For now.

Himawari chan ain't she cute?

The special gallery on the Neo CD version of KOF '98 makes implies Chang likes Leona, but she doesn't necessarily like him ( she crushes the flower he gives her with her foot, and in another picture, she's standing behind a wall waiting for him in orochi mode with a fork and knife...) Maybe she's being nice to him, or he's starting to grow on her (!!!)

Oh, yeah. As far as I can tell, Robert used to be the dragon and Ryo used to be the tiger; they just got switched somewhere along the lines. No idea why, somebody should track this some time. Also, " Seymour " isn't an AOF character at all; his quote is a reference to the movie " Little Shop of Horrors " .

I forget. It might just be a drawing.

As I have come to understand it (without researching), the intro sequence to one of the Art of Fightings games suggested who was the dragon and who was the tiger, backwards. This is where the confusion started.

Hm yes as Rugal said that's from the play and more likely out of the movie in this case Little Shop of Horrors. The plant sings feed me Semour, and Semour gives him little drops of blood out of his fingers or brings him people to eat.

Nothing special, they just used this type of joke several times. Let's make like a bananna and split.

For now.

As I understand it without doing research, in one KOF game there was a BUG involving Leona and Chang. Somehow people took this and turned it into Chang liking Leona. Then came a picture of Chang giving a love note to Leona or something. In one game we see Leona salute Chang or something in acknowledgement of him, maybe that was the bug one but I 'm not sure. Etc...

edit:
By the way I wouldn't use kofonline for the quotes because they are edited.

Don't know, in the drawing a word starting with "Pa..." can be seen.

Well, I took from the dust my ol' mags back to the light and there I saw that in 1rst AOF Ryo has the Ryuugeki Ken and Robert the Kohou Ken, and Robert's called the "tiger". But in AOF2 they get their new moves called (according to the mags):
aerial "Tiger Flame" (aka Kohou Ken) for Ryo
"Flying Dragon" kick for Robert.

Wonder why SNK didn't correct it.

Guess they don't change'em that much, though. Thanks for noticing it anyway.

Truth, indeed.
My guess is that SNK "disguised" it at the time because Capcom was suing DATA EAST for pragarize SF, the subject was Fighter's History (that didn't deserve to get sued unlike other games).

It's also my guest that Capcom lost because more Fighting History games came out until 96'.

Funny Fact: The last game of the saga; Mizoguchi Gauken for SNES was released after the MVS title and the last enemy is.... Chelnov the atomic runner .

He does almost everything that he did on the original side-scroller game and if someone wants to be mailed with pics (Rugal Bernstein comes to mind) just post their mail and I will kindly do so.

This post was possible thanks to British Gin... Strong indeed.
