Well, over a week has passed since the 2003 started, and many new anime series started along with the new year.
No one may care, but I thought to give my 2 cents on them. :)
The number after the title is my biased score and expectation of the series.

Wolf's Rain: 10/10
Made by Bones, the Cowboy Bebop staff and the same character designer, is looking swell. I seriously doubt they'll keep up this quality considering it's a 2 season series (26 episodes), but the first episode was comparable to theatrical level.
200 years after wolves are thought to be extinct, they live among humans by making themselves appear to be humans to them.
Serious, dark tone and lots of violence. Kanno Yoko's music is excellent as usual.

L/R: 5/10
Stands for Licenced by Royal. Two british secret agents. Very easy going and light atmosphere. I like the feel of it, but at the same time the show feels lacking. Hopefully it'll catch up.
The BGM is ridiculously loud, to the point you can't hear half of the conversation. Yes, much more so than.hack//SIGN and Noir.
Feels like it has a little bit of Bebop, a little bit of Lupin, but lack the intensity of either.

MOUSE: 2/10
Um... large breasts, SM bondage outfits and sex slaves? I like all those factors, if it wasn't for the hopelessly cheesy content. Very standard Akahori Satoru anime.
Thanks god it's only 15min.

.hack//Legend of bracelet of dawn: 6/10
This new .hack series takes place 4 years after the PS2 games. Unlike its predecessor, it's a light hearted and very cute. Closer to "Digimon" feel than its predesessor's dark and depressing tone.
So far, there are more elements in this anime that ties to the game, and quite enjoyable. It's an anime I can relax and watch. I do follow .hack's media mix in all media. (I read the novel and the manga, watched SIGN and the OVA series, as well as play the games up to vol.3. 4 is not out yet)

Nanaka 6/17: 6/10
About a 17 year old girl whose mind reverts back to 6 year old. The boy who grew up with her feels responsibility to take care of her. The premise sounds tragic, but the show is cute, light hearted, and heartwarming.

The Big-O second season: 8/10
So far, so good! I've waited 3 years for this series to come back, and it sure did come back with a bang. Looking forward to seeing all the mysteries laid out in the 1st season 3 years ago to unfold.

What's important to a magician
(Someday's Dreamer): 7/10
Modern world, where magic users are a known (but not commong) thing. It feels like Kiki's delivery service in modern day, shoujo manga style. So far, the scenerey are beautiful and story unfolds slowly. Looking foward to this series.

Lime iro Senkitan: 2/10
Based on adult ecchi game of the same name, the original game (by Elf) was made by Akahori Satoru. The game and the show is very much alike to Sakura Taisen, which is also Akahori's work. He himself makes fun of the fact. (Sakura Taisen with porn!)
...however, as an anime show, this totally blows, IMO. So far both of the Akahori anime this season has been a dissapointment.

Stratos 4: 5/10
Along with Lime and MOUSE, this was the other panty-shot filled girls galore anime that started at the same time. However, this one incorporates a more interesting sci-fi edge to it, and doesn't just end with 20min of service shots like the other 2. So far, it feels like Gunbuster plus Hummingbird, divided by 3. (yes, 3.)
There's not much to the show yet, but it could turn out to be better than expected.

Anyways, these are the new shows that started. There are few shows I don't follow, such as:

Machinerobo Rescue: Mechs loosely based on the hit series in 1980s, "Machinerobo". The original was basically "Transformers with Kung-fu", but this series seems to be more in the league with the Yuusha series. I like the original series, but this one, I'll pass.

Transformers Legend of Micron:
I don't know much about the show, other than it's a new Transformers series.

Beyblade G revolution:
I never followed the Bayblade series in the first place.

Found Mouse, Raimuiro Senkitan and Stratos4 veeeeery boring.

But Wolf's Rain rocked my mind.

Off topic, but it's nice how Kiddy Grade is getting darker, just saw episode 11 yesterday.

Found it in the official art section of a fansite a long time ago, no idea about the origin. The original pic is in color, btw, I altered it.

It's Wolf's Rain for me. The rest, most of them, I feel they will either be filled with mediocracy or they won't be as entertaining. Hey. That's just me.
