are you for/against the topless-mode and why?

I for my part, well yes.
I mean it's not like the games main part is sport- and since it'll get the +18 Rating in Japan anyway, WHY THE HELL not.
If we were talking about Beach Spikers, it'd be no, but hell, it's DoA, they are allmost there anyway.

The only reason I would say no is because if it came to the US there would be a big uproar. And I AM SICK of all these idiot people on TV talking about video games like they are evil and yet no nothing about the industry and the hobby in general. Idiot talking heads that are old and have a lot of money therefore think their opinion on anything is valid. IDIOTS IDIOTS IDIOTS.

Next thing you know the US Senate will have a bill banning all games from Japanese game developers because DOAX corrupted our children and therefore all Japanese game devs are perverts trying to make our kids into sex maniacs that shoot each other at school. No more Mario cause you know, he might do something with Yoshi or Bowser!

Also, I think the chicks in BMXXX were too fake looking. But on the other hand, Namco can make pretty realistic models. But still, its kind of weird getting off on something that is not real. Dontcha think?

Ha ha ha, hilarious. Very valid points. Most people get off to " fantasies ", anyway, so I don't see what sort of picture you're looking at should matter. Hell, if Vargas and other guys like him could draw pictures of women that were considered " sexy " in the 40's and 50's, I don't see why things should change all of a sudden. People who say this is " strange " don't know the meaning of the word. Some people get off to movies of women squishing bugs or people dressed in animal suits making out. Now, THAT is strange.

I'm hoping there is a lot more to do in this game then play volleyball, put a flower in a girls hair, and watch some videos of her rollerskate.

the whole point of DoAX aside from playing volleyball is unlocking new suits and accessories. So why on God's green Earth would I play in a mode that limits the amount of costumes to selectable to the lower half of the two piece suits? That's just crazy!

If wanted nudity in a DoA game that defeats the purpose of the game I'll use that DoA2 Gameshark code that turns one of your characters in a tag match into the naked Kasumi from the opening and does nothing but run and crash the game.

Agreed, leaving something to imagination is better than showing. They shouldn't go any further than a typical Swimsuit engine....

Besides, the topless nature isn't going to be the big problem. I have the sneaking feeling that this will be a very short game and it's lentgh will tick off a lot of gamers. So unless it sells at a reduced price, or comes with *gasp* a fighting game, I expect some harsh reviews...

Oh, regarding toplessness...hey, didn't I already do this? Like, three or four times?

Anyhoo...

1. None of this "topless" BS. If the top comes off, so does the bottom.
2. See #1.
3. I will hear no lame, pathetic, phony-baloney, mealy-mouthed excuses. Either make your Mature game good or not at all.
4. I don't give an 80 MPH spike what anyone else thinks. I'm sick of this "topless" crap when the panties could survive a direct nuclear strike and not come off.
5. Did I already mention see #1?
6. C'mon, people, let's have some standards, for crying out loud. It's bad enough that you're willing to laugh off ridiculously difficult or horribly broken games; the panties don't budge a micron on an "adult" game, and that's somehow not a problem?
7. This isn't a friggin' premium cable series..."teasing", trust me, is going to get incredibly old incredibly fast. You're probably going to want the good stuff...ALL the good stuff...at some point.
8. See #1 again, just to be safe.
9. If Tecmo is doing this because they're not sure the game's going to sell (certainly a valid concern), they have no reason not to go all out. I'm mystified as to the astonishingly mincing, hedging, piecemeal manner they've gone about developing this series. It's plainly obvious it's all about the "girls" (women!) now, so let's see as much as we want.
10. "Teasing." Good lord. Tease this.

Whew. How many more days until the release now?

As I said-they are allmost there. I mean BXX had awfull polygon models and the character models very awfully low-polygon, but in case of Doa...
If there is beauty in virituallity then DoA has plenty (tough if you hate silicon-style probably not).
I mean they really take their goddamn time to
even add gravitation effects (guess what for)
and "realistic" animation of breasts and then they go all USA- nude breasts are evil!
I'm in europe and you can see naked breasts the moment you turn the television on- nothing bad about these.
I'm much more disturbed about Doom3 if you ask me.

Keep in mind crom, that the US is a different culture, much more conservative. Showing a boob = edgier = good commercial tactic. Just look a Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears acting like prostitutes to sell a couple of albums more.

Then again, not showing anything on the game increases greatly the fetish value of the game. And that's good in my opinion.

I don't like her music nor do I like her- but you know her whore-style is much clooser to the real person than the currently hot Avril Lavigne- this little kid sings about beeing real, at the same time she wears skater (better the cool "sk8er" term) shoes more expensive then an original Kizuna-game and keeps bashing Britney because of the look and her music, but at the same time she can't even
speak out David Bowie's name correctly (at the grammy-nominies).

"Gambling, Mature Sexual Themes, and Nudity"

ESRB definitions:
