an advisor gave this to me yesterday. so far, it's been extremely helpful

http://www.pickaprof.com/

i really wish i had visited her about a month ago so i could've gotten better results ... but anyways, at this site, after you register, just type in the course and the course number and it'll give you a list of the professors teaching it at your school. it shows the grades that the professor gave to his/her students, reviews and ratings from students themselves ... it's pretty much a huge rating system for professors so you know what you're getting yourself into

i thought i'd share it. i know there's a lot of college students here. sorry it was posted so late @_@

If I had to choose a professor I'd pick Henry Moriarty!

Yeah! I'd pick him too! That's for sure!
He probably is still not feeling well.

Only bad thing about that Professor is he disappears for weeks on end and causes everyone to get dreadfully worried about his well being.

(on the topic of the pickaprof site: Academy of Art isn't listed -__- and I REALLY needed something like this since I've gotten some bad teachers when better ones had open classes... I still have terrible memories of Figure Modeling and Figure Drawing 1 were my teachers were total morons and I didn't know until it was too late)

my advice is to higher an independant accounting firm to research and pick out your classes for you. If you let the school have any input they'll give you wrong classes and try to keep you trapped in their school for 1-5 more years than you thought it would take. I researched big time for my classes and avoided much of this.

Gen: you gotta watch out with advisors. many of them don't give a crap (thanks to those assholes, i've suffered so much grief), but there's still a select few that care

Baghead: whoops. damn i thought it's database was complete (but i guess that's kinda wishful thinking). maybe you can e-mail them and notify them that you're school's not there. but i doubt you'd wanna go through all that work to get so little accomplished

anyways, i'm off to write some really spiffy reviews for some of my dog crap professors. this'll be fun. auf nimmerwiedersehen

"Harvard, somewhat OT" , posted Fri 10 Jan 15:23post reply

Well, it's kinda really off topic but i was too lazy to start a new topic. I am going to college next year and I applied to Harvard. This lady just called me and i scheduled an Alumni interview. I am not too sure if anyone here is familiar with that or if they know anyone who went to Harvard, but would someone here give me some info about this thing so I don't go in there with my head up my ass.
