SSFIIX doesn't has those saves, it's the Capcom fan disk that has them. If I had to chose between the 3, I would pick Vampire without even thinking twice. KOF 2001 is bad, SSFIIX is old, and Vampire is my favorite fighting game even now 7 years after its release (and even though this version doesn't have endings, damn you Capcom!). Apart from that, it's hyper rare and very, very good. You have to like Vampire, that's it. Anakaris, best character ever created.

Unfortunatly, Chronicles has 2 major drawbacks : no ending ( = NO BULLETA ENDING!!) and no stages from the previous games. The musics of the past games are there, the fighters (good old Pyron!) but no stage. Lazyness at its best. Not to mention that neither Amingo nor Ruby were added, they are made to be in this series but noooo, it's so much better to keep them in MvC2 only...TT___TT And about the capcom fan Disk... It had the complete saves for all the fighting games Capcom did on DC until CvS2 (with some really usefull saves, like a Power Stone 2 save with each item available) and the arts of Shinkirô and Nishimura for CvS 1&2 (plus other CvS art, like the commercials, the covers, etc). All are in really good quality, with zooms, when you look a character you have his theme directly from his original game (Esaka 94, Abandonned Chateau, etc) but... well... nearly all the characters are awfull. One day, maybe, I'll understand why they didn't made a Edayan or CRMK vs Hiroaki instead of... of this.

quote: I just got back from a local game store that imports and I was shocked to see three very special fighting games for the DC. Super Street Fighter 2 X with matching service, Vampire Chronicals with matching service and KOF2K1. The problem is I don't know which to get and they are all $60. I was thinking that maybe my mom can get them in the Philippines for cheaper, but they might be copied games and these three games are ones I want to support with my money.

I didn't read the rest of the thread because my attention span is too short right now.
V.C. has no story/endings. It is like a dream match, although it kicks ass over a KOF dream match because, as far as I know, it has every character with versions from each game, and every background image. You can change the game play rules to those of a particular game.
V.C. rare? V.C. originally was sold only through Capcom directly, but what I heard is that they re printed it after that.
Matching service Matching service will probably run out if it hasn't already. I assume you'd have to connect to a Japanese network to get the matching service going and play against other players. Eventually who ever runs those services tends to discontinue them.
I only have a copy of V.C., so if I were to get one now I'd get S.S.F.2.X.. If I had neither I'd get V.C., because Capcom makes too many versions of S.F.. So I would get V.C. in protest of their sequelitice.

Rarity shouldn't really factor into the decision... if you like Vampire, you'll buy the game, but if not, what's the point of picking it up just 'cause it's hard to find?
Haven't played KOF2k1 yet, unfortunately. The DC SSF2X is probably a pretty good deal, though. SSF2X is still an awesome game, one of my all-around favorite fighters ever. I was really pissed that the GBA version has all-new character art and an ugly GUI, and some STRANGE choices in level changes. Especially the Guile one, but... anyway, I guess it all comes down to personal preference. Arcade perfect SSF2X on DC would be pretty nice. Hell, I gotta consider picking that up for myself if I ever see it on eBay sometime.
