I don't think that their presence have ruined the other FF, that just a question of taste.
IMO Nomura still is the best characters designer.
It's just plesent to have some change, I agree.

They didn't ruined the games, but the designs became repetitive. Both are great artists and illustrators, but their character designs have their style so marked that they look too similar sometimes. Just play the Bouncer and teel me that you didn't got a FF8 deja vu. Or look at the original designs for FF9 and compare them to FF6.

It will depend on the scenario... If it's a FF7-10 clone, with the same character stereotypes, it won't be worth the money for me. (and if it's a FF1-5 clone either, but there are less chances it turns out to be that).

Half the character designs for KARTIA were ripped straight out of FF6.

That's what I that thought when I saw the upper half of the poster while it was loading...

About my opinion on the game, I don't rely on casts much, I'll wait to see the game. As said in some recent test (FF Class I think), my philosopy about games and many other things in life: Hope the best, expect the worst, so I'll only be surprised positively.

Call me a pessimist....

I agree wholeheartily. I loved Yoshida's artwork in FFT. And it'll be nice to see a Final FANTASY again. This'll really be a "Dream Team" game. I can't wait. This new art looks beautiful and promising.

Nope...he's the Executive Producer!

Now I wonder if they'r going to bring in Hitoshi Sakimoto to do the music.

So I guess most of you are hoping for a more radical departure from the normal Final Fantasy games we've seen lately? Me too... I'm getting sick of those same character designs. Any one have any hopes? Something you'd really like to see in the new FF? Personally, I'd like to see more engaging characters. I liked FFX's characters, but I want something different...

Wow, this setting seems very early-20th-century. Aside from the flying trains and people in tunics, that is. Kinda reminds me of Metropolis (the movie, not Superman's city). Bizarre, but I like it.

Well, what about Nobuo Uematsu? I din't know if it would have the musical "feel" of an FF without him...
Then again, he hasn't really produced a drop-dead fantastic soundtrack since VII, IMO...
(going to go put in my Reunion disk, and listen to the Aerith theme orchestrated...)

Well, I read they'll be related (don't know how, perhaps argumentally), nothing about connectivity.

No, its just that the story between the two titles might be linked to each others thats why there is this weird misleading connection. Sorry for the post i made before, i don't mean the game would be able to connect to the gameboy advance technically.

Yes, that's right. The connectivity means that some of the new game elements introduced in FFT-A (FFT-A!!!!) will be present in FFXII.

Will we have Hitoshi Sakimoto doing the music this time???

My guess, is that they'll use another composing trio like they have been for FFX and XI. I'm sure they'll be using Uematsu and Sakimoto, but I wonder who will be the 3rd? Iwata? (FFT's other composer)

I know Sakimoto and Uematsu have already been confirmed doing the soundtrack for FFT:A, we'll just have to wait and see.
