I'm not sure if there's really an answer to this question, but seeing as how there are so many SNK buffs on this board I thought I'd ask. It's been bugging me for a long time, but what's the deal with Cham Cham? Is she a freak (a.k.a Felicia) or just some girl in a cat costume?

No,she's not a freak at all. She's from Brazil,and her brother's Tam Tam. They both grew up in the jungle.
I personally would like to see Cham Cham in another game.

Whoooo~ Boy.. wait 'til Dr. Orochi sees this thread. Cham Cham's his favorite kitty girl of all time. I sure he could rant for hours on her. ^_^;
I have nothing against her. I'm just confused as to if she's actually a cat (it doesn't seem like she has any ears other than her cat ones) or she's just in a costume. I just call her a freak since she's a lot like Felicia and that's what Capcom commonly refers to her as (or monster or whatever).
I'm just curious since she was only in one game and there is a dearth of info on her character.

But to answer your question, no, she's not really a cat girl. It's a costume...
BTW, I'vbe heard Cham Cham is in the PSX/Saturn ports of Showdown 4. Can anyone confirm this?

Only the PSX version of SS4. That's what makes it "Special". Remember how Sony was mandating that extras be included if a game for the Playstation was intended to be crossplatform?

I don't balme you, the PSX wasn't built for 2D fighters and SNK didn't really know how to port it's games over to the PSX back then...
Still, Cham Cham does make the game appealing..(Or better yet, Playmore can bring her back in an actual, honest to goodness Showdown game...)

Cham-Cham and Felicia are both of my favorite kitty chickies of all time. It sucks that Cham-Cham only shows up in SS2... so many people like her, but they never brought her back.
Anyway, I would say she's a "freak," and it's not a costume. I could ramble about why, but I'm not totally convinced it's just a costume. Her hands and feet look like costume parts, but the ears and tail don't seem to be....... ah, well. Whatever.
