Is anyone else becoming broke because of christmas, I know I am. Like I said in an earlier thread, my sister want a game system and just found out that mom wants a computer.

That's tough, I feel your pain. I was in your shoes last year. This year things are looking up (that is if I get a job during winter break). Maybe you'll happen upon a good fortune and get some dough. Otherwise you'll have to get some cheap thoughtful gifts. I've had to do that before!

I'm not going broke b/c of Christmas--I already went broke b/c of the summer.

The good thing about Christmas, though, is that I don't have to spend anything on videogames. I just ask my friends and family for what I want and they wind up going broke! Ha!

At least in terms of how many awesome games are coming out in this time period -- well, I should say for finances' sakes that I'm glad that my most-advanced system is a Dreamcast right now... ^_^

Hey Omega, the DC is the holiday-season winner. Until I got my Xbox, my DC was the newest system I owned--and I still play it more than anything else!! The best day ever was when I got 5 top-quality DC titles for a total of about $40. Best system ever made, and right now it's the cheapest too. Yay! If I wanted to be nice to my friends, I'd ask for DC games for Xmas; but since I'm not too terribly nice...

Heh heh -- oh, I know I won't be lacking gaming goodness to some level. Sure, I'm currently missing out on several awesome games coming out for the newer systems (including the GBA) -- but my monetary accounts are thanking me for holding back. ;)

King of Fighters 2001 for DC is probably going to be my most expensive holiday investment. Other than that, though, I still have to put Skies of Arcadia in my DC, and I still have yet to rip off the shrinkwrap off my copy of Grandia II. Plus, I haven't even completed a quarter of the games in my DC collection yet... ^_^

Stop what you're doing right now and go play Skies of Arcadia. It's right up there with FFVI. And as for Grandia II, don't even bother. It was a good effort, but it fell way short of what it could have been.

Don't even get me started on what I haven't played in my DC collection...I own 42 games and I've actually put time into only around 30 of them. But that's why the DC is so great--the games I have played have been well worth my time (for the most part), and the 2D fighters are just too much to comment on. I own every 2D DC fighter, except for 3 of them, and I too have KOF '01 on the way. Long live the Dreamcast!!

At least you people have a job... My only income methods is doing the homework for less afortunated students... And usually I only get paid on drinks, not money.

I don't think my family would be glad with wine as a chrismas present (because I probably would drink it all without them having a zip of it...)
