quote: Anyone familiar with a dating game for SNES.. apparently there's one floating around for the zsnes emulator. Only it's for girls, this time. Which is what I'm curious about. My sister has it.. but she doesn't know what it's called. And I think it'd be hilarious so I'm trying to find a copy of it myself. ^_^ Anyone have information?
I gess it's Angelique, a global product of KOei with the anime, goods, manga, video game and drama CD planned from the begenning (a little like some US series, you don't know if the series was made to sell goods or if the goods were made to make you watch the series). The game is boring and very repetitive, but the global concept was that every (male) character was dubbed by a hyper famous seiyuu (the SFC version was sold with a CD, and when you play it, it says "play the track 23 of the CD to hear Marcel sama say you "hello!" ". I don't know much about it, the only thing I remember is that Koyasu (the hyper cool voice of Toga in Utena, the creator of Weiss Creuz....) plays the transvestite guy (Olivier sama, the guardian of dream and beauty). Well this guy likes to play all sorts of roles, I like him (and he plays Shingo too!). There are 3 games (Angelique, Angelique Duet on Saturn and Angelique Trois on PS2) plus many, many other games (a RPG, a mini game thing on GBA, etc). The creators make another game exactly identical (with Yura Kairi as the artist as well), I don't remember the name, it's on PC and it's about a japanese girl that is transported in the Heain era with many onmyoji to date. Then, Tokimemo Girl's side on PS2 is boring as hell, but the game in itself is really well done (it's nearly a princess maker game!) and it was really successfull, I'm sure they will continue the series along with the regular Tokimemo series. The only good dating game I know are those of the japanese PS1 version of Justice Galuen (and its sequel, seishunnikki 2), you could be a boy or a girl and date anyone you wanted (well, since there were 5 girls and 20 guys in the game, you had not much choice...) but it was fun as hell (and beautifull, Edayan is reaaaAAAAAaally great.) I would kill for a Moero! seishunnikki to date Zaki or Momo...
