It seems Playmore wants to fully exploit their acquired SNK properties. But why only PS1 releases? Why not release a KOF compilation on another platform, something better than the PSX releases, which weren't all that good? Hmm... maybe they will re-release the Saturn versions too...

A KOF 94-99 collection for PS2 would kick mucho ass.

Propably because psx is the best selling console(has PS2 surpassed its numbers?-I don't think so.)-duh..backwards compatibility-forget I said that- and it will be a better chance that someone who wants to buy a re-release buys it for psx(going by odds, statistics only)
What I hope for is reduced loading and/or improved graphics/controls(but I don't think that will happen). However,I totally agree that a PS2 collection or even better a DC one, would be much better.(but more costly for them it seems)

Simple: they're re-releasing the PSX games. They won't work in reprogramming them. Making new ones for PS2 and DC would be considerably expensive.

Cool...Now they just need to port their NGPC stuff to the GBA and I'll be even happier...

"why not mix'em all" , posted Tue 3 Dec 06:56post reply

What I would like to have, is a all-in one compilation, with all the characters from 94 to 99 playable in a single game engine. So we finally can play dream matches like Shermie vs Eiji.
What's the point in keeping the games hermetic to each other in the compilation? Let's get them mixed!

You'll have to wait for 2006, assuming Playmore locks themselves into the pattern now of 3 games then a non story dream matchup. But they still might not put everyone in.
