The sounds are really bad. Some are clearer and louder(Strider's death), others can barely be heard(many voices). I'm just using standard audio cables, no optical here.

Graphically, the character sprites are the same, but I get the feeling that everything is running in a lower resolution. (stuff takes up more of the screen) The lifebars and such look horrible when the screen pauses for loading (just like in CapvSNK2). I'm using a 27" JVC with 3line filter and component input.

Everything seems to play the same, but the ps2 controller isn't the best ever for this game. The control issues people have been reporting seem to be because the buttons are not being pressed hard enough. I put the controller in digital mode and things improved a bit.

Be kind to goblins.

I agree about the sounds. They're downright crappy. But after a while of playing it doesn't matter too much (to me) because you're more focused on the fast gameplay (thankfully 100% intact)

About the 3-D backgrounds (and other 3D bits) though. I think they look a little crisper and sharper. But then again, when I played it on the DC i played it on a 15" TV and for the PS2 version I'm playing it on a 27" *Shrug*

I wish I knew what that new Easy Mode option is supposed to do. And I wish I knew how to CORRECTLY display the clock on the clocktower stage. In the DC version it was your system time, no sweat. But I'm guessing since the PS2 has an extensive time setting option (DST, Time Zone slection) it messes it up. It was 5:15 when I was playing and it said 10:15 on the clock and it said 10:15 (or something close to it) December 02 (currently the 1st) Under the Last Save memory card option.

I'll get back to you guys if I figure it out. (Hmm I wonder if you have to set your PS2 to the Japanese Time Zone offset... ior maybe set it to no offset)
