At last, an answer for my 2 earlier questions regarding this character ([1] was Falcoon's robotic depiction of Kusanagi accurate, or a stylistic (re)interpretation?; [2] if Kusanagi isn't a robot, what is he?):
the official website classifies him as "Clone Kyo."

1. Kusanagi -cyborg version- is a stylistic interpretation of Falcoon

2. IMO, Kusanagi is nothin', it's just a bonus character.Don't forget that KOF2002 is a DM. If Kusanagi is a Clone, the new Omega Rugal is one too ?
It's just a stupid idea of Playmore !

I think he's a bonus character but that he represents one of Kyo's Clones from '99 (there were thousands of 'em). Nothing argumental of course (2k2 = DM).
Pity I wasn't here back when the KOF argument discussing thread(s)

EDIT:

¿?. I've got 94... and I don't recall him floating. When does it happen?

That's one really odd pic of him. Looks like he's been on an all-night bender inside a tanning booth.

Orochi Chris is red-eyed too ...
but he isn't a cyborg.
It's the evilish red eyes, like for Kusanagi.
